    Maybe in 2018 there was a different Director because the one there now is amazing. She truly cares and is full of emotion. She has as much time as you necessary if you have something to discuss with her, she is very attentive and is involved with all the students. I cannot say enough about St. Mark's Montessori. We are blessed to have chosen St. Mark's for our 2 children and what they have accomplished in only a couple years amazes me each and every day.

    This school is fine for preschool, but it may not be the best place to send your child for kindergarten. The teachers are fine, but the director may need to bring her school into the 21st century. Montessori doesn't have to mean you function like you're in the stone ages. It appears she's been doing the same thing the same way for decades. Does she have any emotions? It's hard to read her.

    St. Mark's Montessori School in Springfield, VA is one of the best schools we've known. The teachers and staff are experienced and caring, competent, firm, yet seem to be guided by the principles of dignity of every individual and peace-making. They truly exemplify stability, reliability, and trustworthiness for the children. The quality of education, if the Montessori method speaks to you, is unmatched. Our older child attended this school, and our second child followed suite 8 years later. Both are doing excellent in public school after St. Mark's.
