Crestwood is truly a neighborhood school. We have only one bus because almost all the children are within walking distance. All the teachers are really wonderful and helpful.

Crestwood has a great community spirit. My son has been there for the last 3 years. Mr. Kasik is an amazing leader for the school. The teachers love their students and spend so much time making it a special learning environment.

We love this school! Wonderful teachers and principle! Crestwood ES also serves students with different Advanced Academic levels (up to level IV - the highest level!). If your child doesn't make the cut to level IV and is eligible for level III, very likely he/she will also be placed in a level IV class and benefits from the wonderful curriculum.

Don't be fooled by the varied demographic makeup of this school or the lower than average test scores (oftentimes a language barrier issue). This school has the best staff, teachers, and principal. My son has been attending Crestwood the past three years and we think it's great - a real gem of a school. We had the option of going the private school route or to attend a different Fairfax elementary school but opted to stay with Crestwood. As a parent, I am pleased.

We love our community school and volunteer as much as possible. We are lucky to have the 2013 Fairfax County Public Schools teacher of the year, Melissa Porfirio, and are proud of all our teachers and staff.

Crestwood Elementary is a hidden gem. Great things are continuing to happen at this neighborhood school. The staff are top notch and truly go over and beyond the call of duty on a daily basis. We are proud to have the 2013 Fairfax County Teacher of the Year on staff. The teachers, staff and administration know each and every child's name and make the school a welcoming place to learn and grow. Crestwood offers a clean, safe and caring environment for the students. Community volunteers and special programming make this school special. I am the parent of a rising 6th grader and have been pleased with the education my son has received at Crestwood. The diversity and international flair of the student body in many ways enhances the educational experience by exposing students to other cultures. Crestwood hosts a yearly International Night which is well attended and celebrates our cultural pride.

Everyone at the school seems to genuinely care about the students as well as teaching. We are lucky enough to have the 2013 Teacher of the Year for Fairfax County teaching here as well. It is great to be in a school where within the first week, the Principal knows the name of every child that walks through the front door.

Crestwood is truly a neighborhood school. We have only one bus because almost all the children are within walking distance. There is support for students who need it and all levels of challenge for those who require that as well. The school is known throughout FCPS for it's warm and friendly environment for children, families and staff. It's a great place to be!
