My son is bi-racial and has had a few incidents at the school relating to race and being called the N word... My son has a very light, fair complexion. Mind you i also have 3 other children that had attended nearby Williamson schools over 2 decades ago that did not experience racism to this extent. The school principal, Kathy Ball did not handle it to my satisfaction and did not file a bullying report!! My son was targeted bc of his racial makeup by a Caucasian student. The Superintendent Jason Bolden took weeks to respond and when he did, he really didn't have anything worth while to say... go figure! White privilege is a real thing...I am Caucasian and am highly disappointed with the staff at this school.....I contacted the NAACP and they never responded. I do not feel comfortable with my child attending this school and am looking into Christian private school, where my son can be valued as a human being created by the most High and Mighty God, instead of being allowed to be made feel like he's less than by a few white hateful children.

The school has great teachers, they all deserve a positive feedback in my opinion. Both of my children attend Longview and they have been treated excellent. There has never been any issue at all and I love that they do provide individual counseling and accommodations as needed. It helped with my youngest tremendously. Can’t say enough thanks to all their support and hard work.

My daughter told her teacher she was moving and was so excited for a new home. Her teacher asked what school she’d be attending. When my child (seven) told her, the teachers response was; “that school is awful I used to work there”. She said this to a seven year old! I’m disgusted by the immaturity of the teachers who are supposed to be leading by example. So grateful we are done.

We had one child go all the way through Longview (K-5) and our other child went K-4. Overall we had a wonderful experience and both kids loved it and have warm memories and feelings of their time there. Office staff is wonderful, we didn't have negative experiences with teachers and I feel the environemnt was always safe. My only complaint is the extreme amount of homework. Now that we have moved to another state and are attending an aggressively academic private school I see that they almost never have homework and the quality of life is exponentially better for them.

This school has been sued multiple times and the parents have won. Do not send your child here. Move or homeschool.

Homeschool your child or move. Worst school.

Horrible experience. My daughter was never sent home with spelling words. When I would ask about it (2nd grade) I was told it was the child’s responsibility. I understand that, but children need assistance and guidance. My child got none. Instead she was shamed and even on her tests the teacher wrote shameful degrading things. I’ve kept all of them. “You should know this by now” was written in one. Ma Foley should be fired. She’s downright mean and hateful to children

Our children started at Longview during the 2020 school year. We were very impressed with the level of communication and covid planning that took place. They seemed to handle the pandemic as best as possible, given that it was a totally unprecedented time. Our teachers were incredibly kind, caring and really helped make the transition to a new school so smooth. The office staff has been so helpful with all of our questions and helped us feel really welcome. Our interactions with the principals has been warm and friendly. You can tell they mean business, but also deeply care about the emotional and educational wellbeing of their students. Our family is very happy with our first year at Longview!

Overall I choose to rate the school at a two only because the office staff have been great! There is a lack of communication across the team and with the parents I feel besides the homework weekly agenda.

My 3 children attended/attend Longview. We have never had a bad experience. The music teacher is amazing and the faculty is so caring. We recently moved, but made sure to purchase a home that is zoned for Longview. Our family couldn't be happier with this school!

My children attended this school. My daughter has a special need and suffered from horrible anxiety, didn't find out later when it finally came out that she was being bullied by her teacher. Their lack of helping my daughter with her learning was a red flag for us.

Excellent teachers and staff. Positive environment. Can't say enough good things about this school! We moved to Williamson for the schools and we are so glad we did. Longview had not disappointed us!

Overall fantastic school down to the lunch helpers. My middle schooler was well equipped for middle school and my younger child currently attending loves it. My youngest has been pushed and that's what she has needed. I have two completely different children with different learning styles, personalities, likes and dislikes and this school has worked for both of hem.

It is very sad when the school's leadership is more concerned with their own career than the safety & well being of the students & faculty.

I have three children attending here and they all love it! The music teacher is hands down the best around! The principal is very involved with the students and works well with teachers. Only issue was previous office staff was poor, but was changed and improved the atmosphere significantly

Along with four other families, we pulled our child out and home schooled. While our child was in school, the PTO was strong. Many of those families quit volunteering in the school in the following year.
