My son loves going to school here. He mostly went to private schools before and he has felt welcomed by the student population. Even Freshman can help create new programs here. My son feels like Summit is home and we are so blessed that he can have a fantastic high school experience.

The Summit High School community has done a really good job affording kids a full high school experience either though the school is just finishing its third year. The kids are really talented and with both parent and school staff support have accomplished many achievements in a short time. A few examples: HOSA students have won multiple state championships. They even have a national champion already. A Summit student has also been named to a HOSA State Officer position. The Science Bowl team won the State Championship in the school's 2nd year. The History Bowl team won the county championship in their first attempt. The Culinary Arts team won the State Championship in year 2. The Marching Band has finished 4th in the State twice already. The choir boosts multiple All-state members. The girls' cross country team won the Region Championship in year 2 and the boys' soccer team won the district championship in year 2. The Visual Arts department has had a Golden Key recipient. DECA has also had multiple state champions. This is only scratching the surface of the talents of Summit students and the opportunities they have taken advantage of in the school's short history.

Overall Williamson Co.has very good schools, but Summit is new so it still has a lot of kinks to work out. My child is a freshman at this school and he likes it enough. He hates the fact that he has to eat lunch on the floor everyday due to the fact that they let all 1000 kids eat lunch at the same time.?? All the seniors get the tables so it pushes the younger grades to the floor. Gross! No one seems to care when I called to find out why. ?? Their lunch is 50 minutes long because the first 25 min. is meant for them to get extra help, make up missed work, or go to detention. ?? It's longer than their classes which I find insane. Some of the teachers are not so good and there seems to be a lot of turnover from year to year. If your child picks the "engineering path" then they have to dress up every Wednesday or they get their grade marked down.?? I think the longer the school is open it will get better, but for now I just find it ok.
