This catholic school isn't run like most Catholic schools. I will never send my kid here again. When there is problems, leadership doesn't consider getting the whole story and easily judges the students. CharacterThis school develops strong character in its students, like integrity, compassion and respect:Students are out of control no catholic teachings at all. Students are walking all over teachers and getting away with verbal and physical abuse.LeadershipLeadership at this school is effective:There is no leadership at all and administration allows bullying. BullyingThis school effectively deals with bullying:Administration allows bullying and do not follow bullying policy. This is a big problem especially, this school is supposed have catholic teachings. This school is worst than public school.

My son started in VPK and will be graduating next year. The whole experience has been amazing now that I am looking back. There have been caring teachers since day one. The staff has been open to special circumstances with him and has actually helped in raising the fantastic student and young man he has become. The school dynamic and community is something I always wanted for my children like I had when I was little in Catholic school. Weekly mass is constant and the religion lessons are relevant to todays world as well as daily prayer multiple times a day. Academics and technology are more advanced than I have seen from other school in our area of friends that we know by outside sports and activities my son is in. They have sports and concerts and a yearly drama show. It will be hard when he graduates next year and the high school he goes to will have high standards to live up to.

Will never send my kids here again. Waste of money. When there is problems, leadership asks the children what they should do, really. Where is the leadership and taking control as the adult.

I was a student at Notre Dame and was bullied on a daily basis. The principal did nothing, and the teachers were absolutely wishy washy with discipline. They seem to be a Catholic school in name only because they obviously are not getting any kind of moral code across to their students.

I am new at Notre Dame, coming from another Catholic school and my experience so far at Notre Dame has been great! My daughter goes to school happy every day, which is a big change in comparison to last year, the office staff is so nice and the Second Grade teacher is phenomenal! The teaching of the Catholic faith is very strong and incorporated in daily curriculum very well! The curriculum in every way has exceeded my expectations! I have seen a huge change in my daughter as a whole in a very positive way since starting the school! I am extremely happy so far and pray it only gets better from here!

This school year was a nightmare for both me and my children. We are not Catholic and therefore my daughter was bullied and they would do nothing about it, they acted as if I was just making a big deal out of nothing. They never gave advance notice of school functions and lost records of my payments sending my bills for things I did not owe for. The front office staff is very rude and condescending as well.

I highly recommend Notre Dame Catholic School to any parent looking for higher moral & spiritual foundation. Their teachers /staff are always willing to take time from their schedules to talk to us parents & keep us informed of our children's progress. I couldn't be happier with the school!!

This school has well prepared my child for high school, my child attends all honors and AP classes. I currently have a child enrolled at ND and that child is thriving also. The leadership has changed over the years, but for the best...the school is growing more spiritually with Deacon Conway as principal. Most of the teachers have been there for 10 plus years and have strong Catholic values.

Okay, most people writing (besides most recent two) are referring to the older teachers and their ways, (which were by far better..) referring to younger students. However, they are DEFINITELY not terrible. I was recommended for all honors classes at Bishop McLaughlin which has very high standards and is very strong with grades The teachers vary to be honest. I started out in second grade when we still had a sister as our principal and the two other sisters as teachers. When I was in fifth grade they had to leave.. Since we didn't really want them to go I guess none of us really had an "open mind" about who was coming in and who was going to be in charge.. The current management is definitely different from the years with the sister but is it terrible? No... Besides the fact our class missed out on a lot of opportunities and was always blamed for everything I can't say 100% this school was garbage. I probably would've liked it a lot better if they hadn't gone through so much to get rid of our principal in the first place but I truly and honestly believe they prepared me for high school in a way no public school could have. And for that I do sincerely thank them..

Are there any reviews other than the 2 most recent (negative) reviews? How are the academics/teachers????

This school Is a complete waste of money. The 8th grade year my child has watched student above her have and been promised was not given to her. My daughter and myself had put in hours at the school fish fry for the kids 8th grade trip, which was not given to them. Not to mention the hours I have wasted at this school. I have been treated so disrespectfully, as has my daughter I personally was shocked. My children have attended this school for 9 years and never had a problem until it came under a shift in teachers and authority. Also, do not go by the other reviews on this website. At the time they were posted other people were in charge. Do not believe the promises that have been made/ they make you since, I can assure you they won't deliver.

I am the Grandparent of three students at Notre Dame. I have the advantage of being able to compare the education my grandchildren are receiving from what my three children received a generation ago. Notre Dame excels in both academics and faith formation, especially since Deacon Conway became the Principal. My only regret is that the cost is so high and there is no financial help for even the most dedicated of parent volunteers.
