If you are looking for a diverse school, this Is not it. If you are looking for a school who had an athletic director who puts kids first, this is not it. If you are looking to get your questions answered by the principal due to issues or bullying, this is not it. Many great schools out there but this isn't one of them. School covers a lot of bullying and issues the school is currently having.

My daughter is a Freshman and so far we love the school. She is being challenged academically and is learning a lot about Jesus in her Scripture class. Also, she has made a lot of new friends! We came from a very good school so I was worried we would not have the same high standard at this new school, I am glad I was mistaken! I also like all the clubs they offer as well as athletics.

We left after 1 semester - very disappointed in the experience all around. School spirit is non-existent, parents are discouraged from helping in any way so they have just given up. The young teachers from ND are amazing but they are silenced by the admin who are all inexperienced and ineffective at leading. The ESE program is a total sham! Pay $2000 more and get zero support. They do not understand learning disabilities like dyslexia at all. The head ESE teacher told my son in front of the entire class that he would never go to college! They will constantly hound you to donate food, decorations, etc. for every little event because they don’t trust anyone to do fundraising. If you want to get your money’s worth, go to TC, Jesuit, or Calvary…even public school. Your kid will thank you.

This is my child's second year here. I sent her here because I wanted her to have a Catholic education. She is not getting this at all. Teens openly discuss and have bi sexual and homo sexual relationships. There are absolutely no faith based ministries or clubs. Content taught in Religion classes have my child questioning the existence of God more than ever. There is a constant rotation of teachers coming and going. The principal is MIA most of the time. The athletic department is more worried about building a reputation for the school than building athletes. And the saddest thing about that is that BMCHS has a horrible track record in athletics anyhow. They have been found guilty of bringing in students just for athletics and fined heavily for it. I am very disappointed but not finding many other options without driving into Tampa everyday.

When I think of Bishop McLaughlin I think about a family. I wholeheartedly believe that it takes a village to raise a child. Bishop McLaughlin looks at each student as an individual. Students are able to thrive in this academic, prosperous educational setting. The teachers here provide one to one academic support as well as emotional and religious guidance at Bishop McLaughlin your student is not only college ready but life ready.

We have had a great experience at Bishop McLaughlin. It is an amazing option with great academics, Christian values, clubs and sports, and other social activities. This is a perfect alternative to the very large schools in our area. It is big enough but not too big. It’s been the perfect place for our child and appreciate the opportunity that we’ve had to send her here. Would highly recommend Bishop!

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School has been blessing and the best experience for my son that started as a freshman this past year 2019-2020. Despite the pandemic emergency we had the school was ready to take action fast. From our amazing principal Mrs. Camille Jowanna to the entire Bishop McLaughlin teachers and staff is by far the best that we have experienced in our 7 years of private schools. My son was determined to go to Bishop from the time he shadowed the school. They have all the accommodations needed for your student to be successful in every level and make sure they are college ready. The diversity & involvement of students and parents are amazing and makes everyone feels welcomed and part of one big family. We are truly happy and extremely satisfied with our school. We truly recommend our school!!!!

This school gets 4 stars! It’s only missing a star because it’s still falls short with a diverse student and faculty population.

My son is a senior and has spent the past four years at Bishop. This smaller school afforded him small class sizes with teachers that truly care, extra help whenever needed, and the ability to play on sports teams even though he didn't have much prior experience. The school culture is unmatched. It is Christ centered family. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who wants a safe, nurturing, religious, and high achieving academic school. I know he made life long relationships that he will treasure for the rest of his life. God Bless this school, their faculty, and their students.

Overall, this is a five star school for our children. We have two that graduated and two that will be there this year. The atmosphere ensures that all students have the ability to be involved and active in their classrooms. The school believes in school spirit and participation which seems to be disappearing in the public school system.

Overall, the teachers are great. Good variety of extracurricular programs such as sports, drama, honors clubs. School building feels very safe. Glad to have bus service since the school is literally in the country. The major problem with this school is that the administration needs to be more supportive of the students especially when there's a problem. Our son said he barely sees the principal visiting students in the classrooms and the assistant principal just seems overwhelmed picking up the slack and not really taking students problems seriously.Guidance counselor only seems to be involved with class schedules and not with giving actual guidance. This school has potential but needs a lot of improvements to be considered a "Great School".

This is an excellent school. I am so glad I found BMCHS. I don't know who was there in the past, but the current administration and teachers are wonderful. My oldest loves it there. My 7th grader will be going there for high school as well.

My child attends this schools. The administration allows students to use inappropriate language, bully other students and lacks diversity. I would not recommend any parent to send their child to this school.

My child is in his second year at BMCHS. I have another child in a public high school right now, so I feel I am exposed to both worlds. If you want a school where every teacher and administrator knows your child and your child is not just a number, this is the school for you. I can rest easy knowing that my son is closely monitored. You get to know most of the parents and it becomes your BMCHS family. If your child is not at school you will get a phone call by 9am informing you of such. My other child is in public school and comes/goes as she pleases. She doesnt know 90% of the faculty and is just one of many. Its what you want for your child. Reading the reviews I see that most of the unhappy ones were from students. I cant help but think that these are kids that dont like to be closely monitored and blame their failures on the school. My son has made many good friends and is happy.

I went to this school two years ago and I am just now writing this review to tell people how bad of a school it is, academically and socially. If you want your child to be surrounded by rich, white, snobby kids who get everything they wish... This is the place. The school does NOT prepare you for college whatsoever. Switching from this school to a public school was difficult because here, they care more about their reputation then your education. Don't send your child here if you want them to have a social life. This place is in the middle of no where and with only 300 or less people, a "social life" will be hard to find. DON'T send your child here.
