The teachers here have been great. We have our 2 young children here and have loved the 3 different teachers that we have interacted with. Both of our children have made huge improvements in their reading and math. As parents, if you make sure your child is doing the assigned homework, your child will be successful at this school.

I love this school. Anytime I’ve needed something it was addressed and I’ve had one kid complete all grades and have one in there at the moment and will be having another kid attend in 2 years. The teachers are always there for my kids and will do whatever it takes to get them far!

So far, my experience only highlights the problems with public education. Here's a list:* Pick up area is severely clogged and poorly designed to handle the amount of students. Probably a good indicator of the ratio of students to teachers. Takes 30min at the school to pick up kids.* The inside of the school is solid examination room gray; must be depressing for all.* Poor communication with parents on what their children are assigned. Makes it difficult to enforce what isn't known. I've gotten 0 graded assignments back from the teacher and 0 input from her. Absolute garbage to leave parents scratching their heads.* For people not familiar with this area, it doesn't have the best inhabitants. There is a drug house not even 1000ft away. During open house, one parent was clearly sitting in their van having a bad trip. Don't move here if you want to be in a nice community in general.

I have two children currently enrolled at this school.My oldest is being harassed and bullied by the teacher who is asking classmates to give their opinions of schoolwork.Tries to label my child a bad child and spreads the rumors to other teachers by advising them how to "manage" this alleged behavior.They continuously hold my children to different standards.The staff does not think it is proper to act in self defense against physical attackers.My youngest is not being graded fairly on going beyond the standards because the teacher doesn't generally give out exceeding expectations in that area.All in all I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone.

I would like to give this school zero stars! I was very optimistic when I enrolled my son but I'm beyond dissapointed after a year. They lost my sons IEP from his previous school, said that he was behind in many areas but didn't qualify for special Ed services?! That just doesn't make sense! Be careful because they will sweep your child under the rug and call and email you about everything your child does...for example, how often he goes to the bathroom! I guess the teachers have too much time on their hands!!! Do not go to this school!

My worst decision as a parent was to send my son to this school. The school is split into 2 programs and it is pretty clear to see which program is favored. The principal seems to undermine the intelligence of the parents and act as if this isn t obvious to see. The teachers lack enthusiasm for teaching and the office staff could learn some manners from my 6 year. The school hardly offers the opportunity for parent involvement which makes it difficult to have a strong relationship with the staff. Worst school in this district! Stay away!

Putting my child in this school was the worst decision I ever made. When she started here she was a year ahead in math and reading. She was bullied beyond belief and the principal did nothing about it. They even had video of a kid reaching over the seat on the bus and ripping my daughters hair out. Nothing happened. My daughter was only in this school 1 year when I pulled her out and put her back at Roosevelt now she is behind on math and reading. I have told many parents about this and have many that have taken their kids out because of poor teaching and poor staff attitudes. Worst school in this district! Plus her teacher in her class picture was glaring.

The only reason that I did not give Broadway 5 stars is simply because my daughter needs to be challenged by her school work, and they do not individualize their teaching plan to include the higher level children, it seems to be up to the individual teacher. Ms. Banta is awesome!

I was a student at Broadway three years ago. I went there since I was in preschool. I always felt that it was like a home to me. The teachers are very personal. I wasn't very good in math as a 4th grader. My 4th grade teacher took his extra time to help me out before and after school. Now I am an 8th grader taking a freshman math class. Broadway has a lot to be proud of and I am glad to say I was a Broadway star. The staff is awesome and this school also helped my get out of my shy zone.
