I have been going to this school and I am nearing the end of this school year. This school is not very motivating for students to learn things, I can recall at one point a teacher did not let students put their heads on the desk cause they would end up falling asleep. This school drowned my motivation and their classes bored me to sleep. The only reason I rated this schools staff the way I did is cause they had a few teachers who actually created a fun and engaging setting but that was only a few the rest of them where pushy and demanding. I can recall another time where a teacher lifted their leg up and slammed it on a desk/table in front of a few students for talking. In my opinion that behavior is completely inappropriate.

The communication in this school is nothing, there is none whatsoever. There are some teachers that are good, but most of the teachers don't know how to teach. There should not be bullying in this school, yet my daughter went here and got bullied, then would come home crying and depressed. I watched the sun turn to the moon, dark and sad. One day she even said a teacher got mad at her when she was using her inhaler. I don't recommend this school because they just don't have the best staff and students.

some good teachers but most treat the student like they are stupid. also, with no supervision or discipline, I started harming myself because I believed the kids that told me that I was worthless and everyone would be better off without me, I had reported this behavior several times but nothing was done. I was in the worst state of mind I have ever been in. this school is like covid, I would never wish anyone to go to this school.

I went here a few years ago, and I only like about three of the teachers. I learned absolutely nothing besides that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. I was constantly failing with no support. All I was told was to talk to my parents or to do better. There was NO enforcing of the no bullying rule. I would go home crying because of bullies and even reported it to the principal, absolutely nothing was done about it. Under the new management after the last principal, everything went down hill. Things became more strict on the students, yet the actual people doing wrong weren’t looked at twice. I don’t know what else to say besides, if you can, don’t go here.

Both of my kids went here and they had good experiences and great teachers. The school is in a nice neighborhood, but most of the students come from housing in poorer areas closer to Sprague Avenue, making it a school with a fairly high poverty rate for the Spokane Valley. As a result, there are discipline issues that don't occur as often in wealthier schools.P.S. When you read the reviews of people who say they hated the Vice Principal, you are reading the reviews of the parents of some of those discipline issues. In a few years, they will be complaining about how much they hate the cops.

The worst school in the district hands down. Absolutely no discipline, no supervision, and communication with the parents is awful. For example there was a treat made to the school and they didn’t notify parents till HALF WAY THROUGH THE DAY. Seeing as this threat was clearly made outside of school hours, we should have been notified immediately. But apparently the principal cares more about the schools reputation than out children’s safety.

Great, My daughter is at EWU now and loved her teachers at Bowdish, and my son is currently in 7th grade and even though there have been a few issues they were dealt with and teachers answer my questions, and they meet with him before school whenever he needs

They are too focused on being a AVID school instead of helping the children learn. Have had nothing but trouble with 2 teachers. Son has turned in the same homework 3 times and they still say they do not have it. Teachers need to help guide the students instead of trying to become a AVID school. Priorities backward.

Terrible! When a students goes from being a high honors student at another school in the same district to a failing student at this school, there is a lack of teaching ability.

Its OK, the teachers are good. The vice principle is not very nice, but, the principal is. Most students don't care

Bowdish I still find it as a great school. I do great in my classes. i haven't been bullied. I find most of my teachers are fun but some are mean. I find that I do better in those classes. I find Mr.Larson is a more strict than our last principle. I am glad that i here for my 7th and 8th grade year.
