We have had a great experience with SCS this year and are very impressed by the entire team of professionals who bring outstanding programming, curriculum content, and focus on the social and educational development for each student. We also appreciate the large presence of parent and family involvement at events, it’s great to see!

Recommendation depends on what you are looking for in a school. Pretty typical secular private school overall, with good teachers, facilities, and services. Students seem kind to each other. Most of the problems are in middle administration. Our experience as parents feels somewhat like taking a child to a hospital: doctors and nurses communicate with you, but there is an overall feeling they they are in charge as experts. If this is what you want in a school (as many seem to), SCS will be perfect for you. If you are looking for a more responsive/family school experience, you might try one of the Montessori schools around. Definitely do not buy the hype though, do your own digging.

We are extremely happy that we chose SCS for our children. They are truly excited to go to school each morning. Small class sizes mean that teachers are able to focus on each student's strengths and challenges and to effectively communicate with parents. We love that our children are exposed to sciences, music, art and languages at such a young age by specialists in each field. We're confident that they're receiving the best education as well as learning how to be confident, caring people.

We have been so happy with our experience at Stanley Clark. I am an alumna as well as a parent, so my husband and I already knew that Clark offers the finest preschool/elementary education in the area, but I was floored at how far the school has come over the years. Our preschool and kindergarten-aged daughters are being taught by well educated specialists in art, music, movement/gym and so much more. I feel confident when I drop them off in the morning that they are loved as they are at home, and it's clear that they feel Clark spirit and pride. One of the best things about Clark is that you send your kids to school with children whose parents are also focused on quality character and academic education. This is a place where it is "cool" to be smart and kind, as it should be!

We couldn’t be happier with SCS. Our son is confident and interested in learning, there’s no more grumbling about having to go to school.

Our son's experience at Clark has been superb -- brilliant teachers, programs, resources, and such a friendly, supportive community.

My children are in the early childhood program at Stanley Clark, which is amazing! The teachers are phenomenal, very compassionate, intelligent, and flexible. The classrooms are bright and light and very welcoming. The school's approach is a Reggio Emilia approach, which is not as well known in our area. Essentially, if the children are interested in something, the teachers pursue the subject. Classes have taken trips to study bridges, birds, the supermarket, whatever is of interest to them. One class was studying weather and went to a local news station to speak with a meteorologist. Lots of hands-on learning, excellent exposure to science and the arts, teachers are committed to building skills and self-confidence of the children. We are so very happy here.

Our daughter graduated today. She started in preschool. It cost us more than our mortgage, and that was WITH 'Tuition Assistance'. It was the BEST commitment we ever made. HIGH HONORS! The WORLD is her oyster!

I've went to Stanley Clark for 11 years, I started pre-school there when I was three and stopped going in 7th grade. Overall Clark is a good school but, once you get into their middle school most of the teachers are mean, the work gets a million times harder and your required to take either Spanish, French, or Latin for languages. I would definitely have you're child be tutored after 3rd grade ( 4th grade is when everything gets harder, the material is taught faster, A LOT of homework, and if you don't turn in your homework you get detention, so it's definitely a big change.) Once in middle school the teachers care a lot about you and you're academics, but to an extent where it becomes to much, and overwhelming. As far as bullying goes there is really none at Clark. I left going in to 8th, because it was to over overwhelming, and getting a lot harder(in science we were doing things a high school jounior would do, and going from a teacher that didn't teach anything to us, to the most strict teacher in the whole school).
