I can not say enough about how great our experience has been with Idlehurst. We have a daughter in 2nd and another who started in kindergarten. The teachers have a true team approach and are communitive with parents. Starting with our eldest's first year, in Kindergarten, her teacher visited us in our home before school to make the transition less scary for our daughter and they did the same this year. Throughout the year we get bi-weekly updates on what our student is learning and ideas about what we can do at home to support them in their growth both academically and emotionally. In first grade, the school was remote but the rigor was no less. Our daughter was able to return to school on target with non-covid progress. The teacher employs a classroom method that encourages collaboration and cooperation, teaching valuable social skills our students so desperately need. 2nd grade has been another stellar year. With the use of an online communication app, we have a temperature of our student's day and are kept up to date about school events. If at any time there are focus issues or peer conflict we have been notified in a kind and supportive way. Our eldest has a 504 and during our team meetings, the care and support for our daughter have been evident. The entire community is there for all of the students and gets to know them. I think the truest indicator about the school is the fact that our daughters both love going to school!!5 ++ stars

This school has been amazing for my kindergartener. They just changed the grades to K-2 and that has been perfect.
