I am a current student at Jordan Road in eighth grade and I found my experience all through the years. I’ve been in Jordan Road to be a horrible experience. I recently got into a fight with another girl and the girls scared to come to school so they don’t want me going to school anymore and the girl doesn’t go to school so I have to wait till May which is in two months from now to know whether I’m going to school or not after there was already a meeting today on February 27 and I find this upsetting and I prefer the school one star don’t send your kids here and the girl has only been going to school since sixth grade. Everything about the school is horrible don’t ever think about sending your kids here you will regret it there’s barely any black kids there, and whenever a black kid gets into a fight they always take the white kids side. And the teachers are horrible.

Only giving one star because it wouldn't let me give half. This school is ranked in the bottom 11th percentile of the state for many reasons and it shows.: Fifteen year old history books, a rich history of ignored bullying (by students, teachers and administration), zero safety ( from lingering building mold problem to children being taken off campus without permission from the parent), teachers that are not invested in the children but who see their job as "cheap babysitting" (actual words uttered by a teacher to describe their job). The big question here is why is this school operating? Dawes Avenue School should have been allowed to house the middle school.

As a parent of a military child, I would not recommend this school. If you're going to move to Somers Point, live on the other side of Rte 9, so you go to Dawes.
