I am going into sophmore year at this school and for the most part I love it. The teachers are so nice and if you you don’t go into to drama you mostly stay out of it. The fights aren’t handled the best but idk lol. I overall really like this school and as a film major loooove the film programs.

Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT send your child to this school. They do not handle harassment and bullying in a proper way and will blame the victim.

Five stars - My daughter loves this school. This year she was in all regular courses because of the transition to public school from homeschooling and I wish I had enrolled her in honors courses because of how well she has done, even with a considerable amount of home life stressors this year. This school offers 3 levels of academics - regular, honors, and AP. The performing arts aspect of the school is amazing. The kids are taught professionalism and the basics of what they will need for a career in their particular major, as well as given opportunities to explore different areas of that career with performances and displays of their work. This school has been nothing but positive, even when the teachers emailed me about possible failing grades they were positive that we could work together to bring those grades up. I like the upbeat positivity of the staff that translates to the students. I have found staff very easy to work with when necessary, and quick to find work arounds when we encountered roadblocks. I like this school quite a bit and would not hesitate to send any of our other children here if they were interested in performing arts.

New AP Program is great! The Artistic Majors such as Instrumental, Vocal, Performing Arts, Film and animation are excellent and the opportunities to perform during the year through showcases is fantastic. There are many dedicated teachers and support staff that go well beyond the call of duty to help the students in academic, artisitc and personal growth. The students can not just leave the school or wander the halls. The staff keeps a close eye on the whereabouts of their students and the hallway is very quiet and clear during classes. Students go directly to their classes when the bell rings and must have a hall pass to go somewhere during class time. Besides AP classes they have honors and College Prep classes. Their are clubs and your student can participate in group sports in your sending districts high school. They have recording studios, 3 pianos, a film area, computers for all the students and a dance studio as well for the dance majors. They also have Art classes that are excellent. If your kids are interested in the Arts and want to have creativity plus academics- Ap classes and honors classes for those that aspire to college, then this school is a great choice.

As a parent of a second child attending charter tech, it is an all around good school for those who are interested in what charter tech is, for students that wanna attend for vocals, musical theatre instrumental etc, i disagree with charter tech offering basic academy, the basic academy is for those who do not wanna attend their district high school. And its not fair to the students that are serious about why they are attending.because they create distractions at showcases. I was just at the vocal showcase, my daughter majors in vocals, anyway a group of students that sat in the front row & second row were asked to behave professionally by one of the vocal teachers. They were anything but behaved, a poor elderly woman had to ask the bunch two times to please keep it down, they carried on as if no one asked anything. My daughter is a freshman my son graduated 2 years ago, this freshman year has been anythig but a great experience her first year, i hope next year sophomore year is better for her, shes already passed the test to move to intermediate, she was challenged to take theb test to move to the next level. I just hope for her sake, she ends up with better class mates next year.
