They Care more about a childs attendance than they do their health. keep child home sick, turn in a note which the office loses, even when you have a teacher thanking you for that note on class dojo, and they will send you off to court.

Sylvan is welcoming, bright, clean, and organized. There is a sense of excitement and purpose in the air on campus. The staff is positive and work together for student success.

Sylvan is a wonderful place to teach and learn. The atmosphere is welcoming, supportive, and conducive to learning for both students and teachers. Further, many teachers have advanced degrees and/or National Board certification. I would highly recommend Sylvan to parents!

Sylvan Elementary is a great school! I've been teaching at Sylvan for the past five years and the students and staff are wonderful. Everyone gives 100% and our #1 priority is our students!

I can say that Sylvan was a disappointment. They are more concerned with attendance than academics. So I guess we are preparing kids for jobs where all that matters is if they show up. You don't have to work hard, just show up. Bright kids are not being challenged. There is no scheduled writing time because they spend so much time doing remediation. In the 3 years there was 1 PTA meeting.

Thank goodness we were able to find a house out of Sylvan's school district! My son loves the elementary school he is going to now. He gets so much more individual attention for the areas he was lacking in due to the horrible one on one attention at Sylvan. His grades have gotten so much better and he loves going to school everyday. I would not recommend this school to anybody. Like I said in my prior post from October 27,2011...this school was so bad we had to move just to get my son out of this school district, so make sure you check the reviews before putting your child in this school.

I am very disappointed with Sylvan Elementary. Twice now they have lost my child. She was sent a note to ride the bus home and they didn't put her on the bus. Then when I talked to Mrs. Sartin it happened again. I went to pick her up at school and her teacher told me she rode the bus home. I came home to find out she wasn't there, but still at school. This is very unacceptable. How do you loss a child! This is safety issue that needs to be fixed.
