Our kids have been at this school since it opened when my older daughter was a 1st grader. With the exception of her first grade teacher, we've had great teachers and have found the principal very willing to work with us on finding the right fit between our kids' learning styles and the teacher's style of teaching.

Good school, but............. If the school/district wants to make a dent in the test scores teachers need to be held to much higher standards. Accountability is a key word here. If a teacher does not perform, get them out and end all those games with the teacher's union. Just because you've worked for the school for 20 years does not mean you are a good teacher. Reward good, passionate performers; get rid of the lazy ones. So far, out of 4 years, we had 2 good teachers and 2 lazy, I will show up as I please teachers. Really don't like going to these beginning of the year meetings and hearing all teachers say that they don't know how to use the web-site & systems because it's new. Is it new every year? What were you doing for the 3 months during the summer? Macy's does not open their stores to the public without the staff knowing how to use cash registers. Stop whining and stop making excuses. Be prepared; be organized, after all we are paying you for it.

Jackson has come along nicely since opening a couple years ago. I have been very pleased with my son's teachers and overall school.
