Very Clique-ish groups seem to dominate the environment. From what I've seen, kids with disabilities tend to get thrown under the bus by other kids. It is the exclusiveness displayed by many of the groups.

SHS is lacking in many areas. The athletics program is mildly successful, with a rather good Cross Country and Basketball program. Our Jazz band has been excellent in the past as well. However, class offerings are somewhat limiting, with a lack of higher level math classes. Also, many teachers are mediocre at best. Some of our teachers are excellent, however, and the science department seems to have been blessed with a number of excellent educators. However, the foreign language department is severely lacking, in language variety (Spanish only) and also teacher capability. Overall, the school simply teaches the basics but lacks the options that aspiring students truly need. Many of the students here are extremely disinterested, while the remainder strive for excellence but are hampered.
