All 3 of my children went there and had wonderful experiences. Great with education, athletics and spiritually.

Horrible do not send your children to the school as far as education. I feel the school is behind in The educational needs of the students they have no guidance counselors for the lower grades to help the younger children get through issues of growing up, the school is always asking for donations and money constantly. It seems it's all about money and not about the children needs and wants educational, spiritual and emotional.

We have been at SCA for over 13 years. I believe it is an above average school because of the leadership and staff. The parents are very involved and that helps make it have more of a family environment. Please understand the school isn't full of perfect people but that is life and I would say the positives out weigh the negatives 10-1.

Overall, I would not recommend this school to anyone. As a student that graduated from this high school I would not want others to be subject to such a toxic environment. In terms of its academic program, SCA's success rides on the backs of those students that already came in with an incredible work ethic and determination to succeed. They do little to promote college readiness to students who desire to go to a university that is not faith-based. The leadership is plagued with internal bias and favoritism, and the teachers are often times no better. Furthermore, I have no problem with faith-based education as long as the school fosters a sense of individual learning and critical thought. Students need to be taught about the bible AND the rest of the world; they need to develop their minds and learn to make their own decisions. Unfortunately, Seffner Christian is not capable of facilitating this type of growth and instead situates itself within a religious echo chamber that does not prepare its students for future success. Additionally, though this is slowly changing, diversity of the student body is also severely lacking. However, be forewarned that just because the school is growing its diversity statistics I can attest to the fact that this is not changing the way the school teaches or how its students interact with students from different backgrounds (economic, race, ethnicity, or religious). Bullying is rampant if you are not part of the "in-group" and the administration does little to help. While my personal experience wasn't all bad, I was glad to get out and honestly if I were a parent I would not send my child here.

This school is why people thing Christians are judgemental and terrible. If you are considering this school please, please reconsider after reading about my experience at the school. A lot of these reviews will be from parents who are unaware of what is actually happening in the school.

Terrible school, all I'm going to say, husbands and wives run the school so when you have issues, it doesn't get anywhere.

My child has been attending this school for 8 years. The teachers are caring, dedicated, and professional. The students are just that... students. They are taught to be respectful, honor their faith, and work hard to achieve excellence. You will be pleased with the level of communication provided in order for you to stay involved in what is happening in the classroom. We changed schools briefly a few years back, to a local charter school. A required uniform does not a school make; and we quickly reenrolled at SCA. We remain happy with the education our child is receiving. Please tour the school and meet the staff to see what wonderful opportunities await your child.

My children have experienced SCA for several years and have been consistently challenged academically and provided multiple opportunities. The iPad integreation into the classroom is wonderful and many unique programs in all areas of the school are OUTSTANDING. Check it out! You will be thrilled with what they offer.

This school is horrible. It is cliquish and very few are true Christians that go and work there. The students run the school and you feel out of place if you aren't rich and white! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN THERE!!

I am a student at SCA and it is a great school! This school has helped me grow a lot in my walk with God and I know if I ever need any help spiritually or academically I can go to a teacher here and they will willingly help me. Never listen to anyone if they say its not a AWESOME school... Because NO DOUBT ABOUT IT... It's the best school I've EVER been to. They help me with anything I need and I couldn't be more thankful/blessed to have a great education at this school. The education here is so great and tbh (to be honest) Bible is my favorite class here and Mr. Nathan Lewis is my favorite teacher. (He's the Bible teacher) He explains Gods word so well and if I ever have a question he is usually the first person I go to if I have a Biblical question. Thanks to all my awesome teachers who have helped me grow spiritually and academically.

SCA is a great school that teaches and encourages children to excel academically and spiritually. I feel that my child is getting the best possible education and will never regret choosing a Christian school over our public school system.

I have two children that attend SCA. The school is academically superior to public schools. They also have a great fine arts and sports program. Some teachers are better than others as in all schools. Discipline issues are minimum. Tuition average but extra fees do add up quickly, especially if student in band. SCA seems to be investing money to improve school by adding gardens, replacing old buildings, etc. Great Christian environment with Bible taught daily.

SCA offers an excellent athletic program, fine arts program and curriculum. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and very family oriented. Communication with the faculty and administration is awesome. Disciplinary issues are dealt with immediately and a student will be asked to leave for inappropriate conduct, which may explain the previous negative comments. SCA is progressive and growing precipitately, especially the high school. The guidance counselor is very easy to reach and has been a valuable asset in preparing for college. We looked at several top notch private high schools in Tampa and choose SCA, and we are so pleased. SCA offers honors and AP classes as well as a variety of elective options. My daughter is a sophmore and loves it!

Not at all what we expected! We thought we had done our homework, but were sadly mistaken. Please be careful!

I have been going to this school since I can't remember. And let me say it is a true blessing. I've made so many friends. Its like a second home. The teachers are understanding and kind. They have excellent academic programs and the princibal is very understanding and will help you out with any situation ur facing in life. This school is blessed by God. You not only get an education but receive life lessons of all sorts. There are so many sports to choose from. I will miss this school when I have to leave. I know almost everyone there and they are the kindest of ppl. I love this school. And JESUS!

I have been a student now for three years in the highschool. I can't say that the school is perfect because nothing is in this world. The majority of teachers are great using humor and keeping interest. The students are above average, but like any other school there are cliches and students who are not interested, but i feel like i can really be free to express my religion here. We have all different denominations and no one really cares which one you are. You're loved equally wherever you go and we have chapels with alter calls that many students are touched by the message and feel free to go and worship. The administration is good, but not perfect. I have had problems with their absence policy that has caused me to fail a few classes and met an unwillingness to change or help me because it causes inconveniences. The sports are wonderful and coming from a public school, SCA has really helped me turn my life around. I can feel God in this school. I love it.

The whole school seems to have an idea that they are better and superior to people who are not members of their school. The staff and administration showed no compassion, whatsoever, and whatever "Christian example" and principles they were trying to display was nowhere to be found. Leaving this school made my child actually happy to be back in public school again.
