He’s a quick update. It’s 2023, all the bad reviews are pretty spot on currently. The children here are horrible. The parent do not care. They are being set up for failure. They only have a good football program and that is it. The sad part about it is even though they have a good football program, %99 of them will go no where with football due to how bad they are. Very sad no higher ups have stepped up to fix things. These kids need a positive role model. They skip school with ease, I called the student affairs and they do not track these kids, nor do they care that they skip. People and parents have to do better because they are creating a huge future problem. These kids want to be hood so bad when this area isn’t even bad except for the kids. Simply put, Pathetic.

As a parent to one of the students - this is a horrible school for any child to attend. Too bad there isn't a closer school. The only area of success for this school is their IEP program assistance. My ADHD child received 22 tardiness/absences in one class and I was never notified or informed until the admin staff wanted to give an OUT OF SCHOOL SUSPENSION. This is highly dangerous and very concerning. When calling to speak with the principal (never called) I spoke with someone that informed me of these 22 incidents. The funny thing is - I spoke with the teacher that never made the complaint to me a few weeks ago - speaking about missing assignments that could be made up and turned in - never spoke a word about the 22 incidents. But, strange after the OSS the teacher wrote me and explained that admin staff approached her telling her that she needed to write my child a referral (tad bit personal I feel for admin). So, my child has to eat the OUT OF SCHOOL SUSPENSION. While she is out on suspension, I believe this is the time to visit other schools in the surrounding area that are only private and take her IEP to them.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF Awful!!!! and this is an understatement. If you know your child is a good student DO NOT send them to this school. It's full of low class, troubled students. Believe me when I tell you. The school just wants to get credit for their football teams success, and that the reputation of the football continues to excel.

Picking up students is a nightmare. There is no compassion given to the parents picking up their children. Last year was frustrating but things were better organized. This year they have the students parking in the front and they are allowed to exit before everyone else. I have in line for over 25 minutes to only have moved four car lengths. Something should be done to give the parents some consideration as they might have to return to work, etc.

The problem with this school starts with the Principal whom lacks basic knowledge of running an effective school. The only the thing that concerns me more than his inability to manage the school is his lack of caring for the well being of the students. His main concerns seem to be buddies with the kids not a figure of authority. He lacks authority, good judgement, and morals, all of which I feel is needed to be a high school principal. I entrusted my child under his authority at Armwood High School last year, it was a disaster. He was in the collegiate academy, which for the most part is ok. My child whom never EVER has had a minutes trouble at school is now the target of bullying and cyber bullying. When your child can be filmed going to the bathroom at school and it being shared via social media is disregarded as "oh it's no big deal you couldn't really see anything" you know something is very wrong with the Principal. The students who did this received only a 1 day suspension. Do your research before sending your child here, and NO the collegiate academy is no different , these 3 bullies were in the collegiate academy. It boils down to a Principal who isn't qualified and doesn't care and it goes downhill from there. Teachers don't respect him, students don't respect him, and I don't respect him. My child moved onto to another school and is doing fantastic.

School has been bad since current principle took over. He does not care about his teachers or students. He only cares about certain ones.

This school has improved greatly. It may hav been bad a few years ago, but it's pretty good now. The school population has increased by 300. In the 2014-2015 year there was about 1780 students, now in the 2015-2016 year there is about 2050 students. We are avid school wide. Which means we run all of our classes like an avid class. In a few years, armwood will be one of the top academic schools in the county!

You can't rate a school now 2015 if you went to the school in the late 90's everything has changed ie the building, the teachers, the students, and the administration. I'm glad when you were in school everything was so wonderful but I have 2 children in this school and it is getting worse every year.

This school may have been good a few years back but it is horrible now. My granddaughter went there for 6 months & was bullied by some of the student from day 1. It continued and I went to principle & counselor, no results. Had to take her out and put her in Fla. Virtual Home school. She has brought all her grades up dramatically but she misses interacting with other students. I am putting her in Brandon High. Heard it is a better school. I hope so.
