Assumption-St. Bridget (ASB) has been an incredible experience for our family. With two children who started in Pre-K, we’ve been continually impressed by the strong parent community, caring teachers, and professional administration. The teachers support all students, not just those in their classroom, and the drama, music, and art programs are outstanding.ASB has provided exceptional support for my neurodivergent daughter, ensuring her social, emotional, and academic growth through targeted interventions. The school places a strong emphasis on social-emotional development, helping kids grow into empathetic, compassionate leaders. With a curriculum rooted in Catholic social teachings and service projects, ASB instills a sense of purpose and responsibility in its students. We are grateful to be part of such a nurturing, faith-based, and academically excellent community!

We've had an incredibly positive experience at ASB, and we couldn't be happier with the education and care our children have received here. From the very beginning, the school staff has been warm, welcoming, and dedicated to creating a nurturing learning environment. The teachers are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about helping students grow academically and socially. They take the time to understand each child's needs and strengths, offering personalized support and encouragement. We've seen our child thrive under their guidance, and it's been wonderful to watch their love for learning grow. The sense of community at ASB is another highlight. The school hosts numerous events throughout the year that foster strong connections among families. We feel like we are all part of a big, supportive team, which makes the school feel like a second home.We feel so fortunate to have our children attend ASB. It's a place where our child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn every day.

My son has been at ASB for 3 years now, and I can't recommend it enough. It's been such a great school as he's been learning to read - he's received some extra support and we feel set up for success with the level of communication. I love that there are two classes for each grade so the students are mixed up each year, and he's had amazing teachers so far. I appreciate how most other parents are really involved, and the community is really welcoming. We aren't Catholic, but appreciate the values and moral guidance that the school provides, and feel very included, supported, and welcomed.

Our families experience at ASB has been amazing. We have three kids who have attended and are still attending ASB. Having been a part of this community for over a decade, I can confidently share that the teachers and staff genuinely care about the well-being and success of our kids. The parent community is strong and involvement is amazing to participate in. Our kids have thrived and are confident, strong learners and people. Our oldest is now in high school and we are so fortunate that his experience at ASB set him up for success in high school, and in all honesty, in life! We are grateful to the many teachers who have supported, challenged and nurtured our kids.

We have been a part of the ASB school community for 9 years. My son is about to "graduate" from the school and I believe he is fully prepared, from an academic, social, faith and leadership perspective, for the challenges that he will face in high school. While he is excited to embark on his high school journey, he is also a little melancholy about it as he will miss ASB so much - the teachers, the activities, and the amazing friends he has met during his 9 years there. As a parent, I have been incredibly pleased with the level of rigor and structure the school has provided. There is something for everyone - CYO athletics for sporty kids, clubs and educational programs for kids who love learning, environmental programs, retreats, leadership opportunities. I have had the great fortune of being very involved (as a parent) through the numerous volunteer opportunities and have made great friends along the way as well. I believe that a school community is what you make of it - if you embrace it, get involved and play an active role in your child's education, then you (and your child) will have a great experience - and and you will absolutely have that at ASB. I think any new family looking for a school community to grow with over time should strongly consider ASB.

The quality of newly hired teachers has consistently lowered the bar for lack experience and training. Many of the wonderful seasoned teachers have left. The current principal exudes superiority and feels she's above reproach. When an an issue arises, she immediately becomes defensive if questioned since any question challenges her own intellect. The school is cliquey and all together not inviting, especially if you are a non-Catholic or another Christian faith and or if do not live near the school. The lack of true faith at the school is another issue as I have seem it slowly dwindle since the pandemic. If you're looking for a faith based Christian education, there are so many other schools that fit the bill. On the outside, ASB paints a beautiful picture with it's newly renovated building, but it's what's on the inside that counts.

We absolutely love ASB! Our leadership and teachers are deeply rooted and committed to the school. The parent and student community is wonderful - everyone looks out for one another. I love the focus on social emotional development and the pride that comes from playing CYO sports together. This is a special place.

This school has significant issues --- its history tells the story... read the reviews from years past, not much has actually changed. The leadership at this school is horrible and the academics are traditional and sub-standard. The current Principal is an absolute failure -- consider carefully before enrolling at Assumption St. Bridget.

ASB has been my kids' school home for 5 years now. I've been on parent leadership boards, volunteered, and have to say that over the last 2 years, this community has pulled together for our kids in a way I never thought possible. Our principal has led this school through one of the most difficult times our generation will see, and the kids are thriving. My daughter started pre-K in 2020 and started Kindergarten in Sept. 2020. Our school worked so hard to be open during Covid and our community is so grateful. We welcomed 80 new families last year with open arms and will continue to do so. The staff at ASB is committed, loyal, and hard-working. They've showed up for our children emotionally just as much as they have been there to educate them, and the holistic approach of teaching kids they are a part of the community is evident in how the school has come together.

I don't typically write reviews online as I often see only the negative opinions of people who like to vent when something goes wrong. I now have the perspective of having 2 kids go thru ASB (now in high school) and would like to let people know that ASB really gives kids a solid foundation for life long learning. No school is perfect - and not all kids learn the same way in any school. My 2 girls have very different learning styles, and they both really thrived with the structure and resources that ASB provided. I felt like ASB gave my kids a solid foundation because each grade grows upon the last - communication with the school is great. I loved being involved. I loved that not all kids were Catholics. I loved that my kids LOVED going to school Also - wearing a uniform to school really 'levels the playing field' - kids don't have to worry about what to wear - that hits girls hard around 4th grade! Looking back, I wouldn't change my decision on sending my girls there. They are solid students in high school - adapting to a very rigorous school - solid in getting homework done, caring about sports, friends, respectful to teachers and other adults. ASB sets them up with a solid foundation that you really don't get in many other schools.

ASB has been a wonderful school for our student. After living out of state for the first 2 years of school, moving to Seattle and attending our neighborhood school for a year it was clear that our child needed a different environment to feel comfortable and safe to learn. We also were looking for a school that has high expectations for academics. We decided to make the change to ASB this year and have been so happy that we did. We were hopeful that our child would find a place where they felt comfortable and safe in their school setting. ASB has provided that and more. In all the years I have watched our child in school I have never seen them so comfortable, open up and truly be who they are in their learning environment. That alone has been such a huge impact for our child and our family. We couldn't be happier with the school, the staff, and the other students right now. We will continue to send our child to ASB, because of these reasons and for the continued growth in character, academics and the nurturing environment that ASB provides. For our child it has been a great fit in many ways and we couldn't be happier!

Wonderful school for my kids! The middle school is exceptional.

Overall, we have had a supportive, nurturing environment for our daughter. We have not had any mid-year disruptions with any of our teachers leaving. Some reviews have said the environment is cliquey but I think this is more of a perception than reality. This is a neighborhood school with a parish attached. Lots of the parents went to school there, grew up together, go to church together, live near each other and are friends. I have found that the community is welcoming, will help out when you ask, and there are plenty of opportunities to be involved with the school.

We took our chances with an interim principal who has become a permanent principal. Mrs. Kathleen Conklin as a principal has disappointed in turning this school around. With many friends at ASB for the 2018/2019 school year, we hope it will change but 2017/2018 was another year reflective of sub-par education, inferior administration, and mess of an academic institution.

Having spent several years being involved in the ASB community, I can say that there are clearly positives and negatives to having your children attend Assumption St. Bridget. I don't intend to list all the cons out of respect to the many parents I know who still have children attending ASB. I will say - though - that the cons have weighed heavily on my family and we will no longer be sending our daughters to ASB. If you are considering ASB as a school to send your children to, be sure to ask for references from the school including references from those who are fans of the institution, but also make certain the school provides you with names and contact info of those who have left and have not been happy with the school --- there are many and it is important to understand what has happened and how the school is addressing the failures of ASB before sending your children to the school.

We have 2 children at the school and have been here through the years of leadership changes. The comments about lack of funding couldn't be further from the truth. The school is beginning a major 7M remodel and renovation beginning this June funded in large part by pledges from the community.

After learning that this school has hired the interim principal to be the permanent principal, we have decided to withdraw our kids from the school. It is clear this school needs leadership and a change in direction. By staying the course, ASB continues to fail students with a below average education and a faculty mixed and matched together with little experience and even less capabilities.

Our family has had an excellent experience at ASB. Last year there was leadership and faculty turnover. However, I am convinced that the school community has emerged stronger from that experience. What institution doesn't have its growing moments? It's what comes after those moments that matters. As principal Kathleen Conklin has a very steady hand. We have a child with learning differences and I have always been able to get meetings with leadership and teachers quickly and with great outcomes. They are open to my ideas and I really feel that we work together to support my child. We have 3 kids at ASB now and we, like many of the families we know, are committed to making this a great learning community for everyone. Take the negative comments with a grain of salt - this is a school with many happy, healthy, kind kiddos and families.

Unfortunately the teachers we met last year when we toured the school are gone. The administration is in transition with interim principals and vice principals. We have learned that the school has financial resource issues, and not adequately funded. We feel after choosing ASB that we were deceived by the marketing and families we were introduced to. This school is stuck in the dark ages of schooling and seems to have lost a bunch of faculty and has no money to improve.
