There is a reason that these positive reviews are from many years ago and that there are so few. We ended up at John Adams after the boundary lines were redrawn in Scranton. We were unhappy from very early on. Many of the teachers act as if all of the families are poor and ignorant. There are no lines of communication between the school and home. The PTA is not very receptive to input. The PSSA scores are terrible, and while that may not always be a bad thing, in this case it is. The academics are subpar and the class sizes are large. The pre-school program excellent, the environment is clean. There is a character building model in place, but is poorly implemented.
