This school is a very strong one for children who are bilingual! I must admit that it's the best public school in Sarasota. All the teachers are very good professionals and very helpful. They are doing their best in order for students to succeed.

The office staff is very rude. I've never had contact with any other staff. They do a lot of things during the day when most parents work and aren't available to attend.

This school is good except they do not recognize how hurtful and insensitive some of their decisions are to children. Uniforms are required which is fine. However if a child is absent or tardy for a specific number of days they are excluded from a day of "no uniform" and are not given a special treat. These are kindergarten children through 5th grade. They do not drive themselves. They have no concept of time. It is the parents responsibility but the kids must suffer due to a possible lazy parent., or other unforeseen circumstance. So the child in uniform is considered a "failure" in front of their classmates. This does not provide a child with an emotionally healthy learning environment since they are now on display because of being tardy or absent. I am not saying they should not be on time. I am saying hold the parent accountable. The office told one little girl that she has to wear her uniform because her mother messed up. They made her take her undress and gave her clothes that belonged to someone else. Before her mother came they made her change back to her own clothes. She cried and they told her "crying will do no good". How cruel is this for a kindergarten child?
