My children have had a great experience at Briarwood to date. We transferred in from a private school in August. It's now March and we remain happy at Briarwood. The teachers are actually more attentive than the private school, communicate regularly, and tailor approach for each child's needs. Both are doing well academically and are performing well on standardized tests showing improvement throughout the year. They are both very happy at Briarwood and adjusted quickly making friends right away. The teachers were particularly attentive to make sure they were making friends and getting adjusted quickly as the new kids.

School is a joke bullying is number one principal don’t do anything I just move my kid to other school. I was done if your kid have any disability like a learning, slow learner, do not send your kid they will break your kid my kid is still recovering. Bullying got so bad that my child try to harm herself, so please do not send your kid.

Love this school. Very nurturing environment. The teachers are very dedicated to the kids learning. Good emphasis on STEM.

Overall good experience with 7 ratings school, but can improve more.. I was hesitant to send my kid to 7 rating school but thought to try , i find school principal, staff all effective.. But almost for 5 months my son was taught by Substitute though she was good but school should not start session for kids with Subs.. Apart from that i am happy with school..

This school is a joke! My family experienced teachers with terrible communication skills with parents as well as children. A parent conference with a fourth grade teacher wasn't at all an attempt to help my child. The teacher was always at odds with myself and husband while attempting to maintain her character. I have dealt with school districts, parent meeting for more than two decades, I have never experienced a conference like this. She never listened and very dismissive to the needs of the child. She seemed to have a very strong opinion of our child or culture which prohibited her from being biased.

My child got moved to Mrs. Kumer's combo class of kinder and first in 2009. She was the best teacher I ever met in that school. My child loved to go to school because of her. She developed the love for learning with Mrs. Kumer. The best thing I liked about her was the balance she maintained between studies and extra curricular. That year we went to the most number of field trips. The homework that she assigned challenged the kids to explore their Math and English syllabus further. Mrs. Kumer is the best teacher in Briarwood Elementary School.
