Wilson provides a caring environment where each child's education is taken seriously. The expectations are high and each child is encouraged to do their best. Like any public institution, sometimes the process of qualifying students for extra help takes longer than we would like, but small groups and interventions are put in place meanwhile. The staff gets along well and works together to help the student population. There is a one star review mentioning a principal that is long gone. The current principal is caring and puts each child's best interests first. The school rules are be safe, respectful, and responsible. The PBIS program provides detailed steps for how this works at each level. Routine assemblies reward children for behavioral and academic objectives met. There is also a priority put on rewarding students who may be behind but are making progress. The office staff is caring and competent. The biggest compliment I can give is that I would feel comfortable if my own child was going to this school.

I keep on asking for a request so that my child see's the school counselor and the principal keeps on making excuses but was able to diagnose my son and suggest medication. I blame the principal not the school, measures must be taken for children that need help and not judge at there first act.

I have been working at Wilson for many years, and I think we have one of the best staffs ever! Everyone is invested in making this a great school. Strong, motivated principal. Good support staff. Awesome secretaries. New programs like AR and Jiji help differentiate the curriculum. Students and families are very caring, I always hate to see my class go on, but then a cute new group come in!
