My son graduated from Coyote Creek elementary school. Also my other three kids are still in the Coyote Creek school. The school is very good the principal is very kind, friendly, and helpful. All the teachers are awesome. I am so thankful that my kids are going to this school.

By far some of the best teachers we could ask for our kids k-5. Great faculty and staff. Parents involvement/participation in school activities a little less than expected. Great school overall. Thankful for my kids to be in a national Blue Ribbon school here.

All three of my kids attend school here. I just tell them to try their best and have fun. No need to stress so much at this young age. All the teachers my kids have had so far are great and caring as well

We loved our teachers both years here. That said, school is competitive to the point of causing stress on the kids. Most have after school tutors even though they don’t need them and thus even “average” kids are labeled as behind. Not a very diverse school (either from a race perspective or a socio economic one)

Our 3d grader at that time begged us to take him out. The reason? No instructional support. Prison atmosphere. No time to socialize. Absolutely "do not ask any questions" policy. The GATE program is appalling. The bullying problem is not addressed AT ALL (to the extent, like it does not exist!!!)! After 2 months we switched to the virtual schooling with California Connections Academy. Now, the third year with them and much happier!

Yes the school academically a bit challenging and follows the Common Core State standard. However the school is not very diverse culturally and generally cater to the majority of ethnicity that attend the school. They are inclusive but if you want your child to have more diversity this school is not that school. The teacing staff do not represent the majority of ethnicity that attend this school therefore have a very narrow mind of the various learning styles of minority children that do make up less than %10 of the student body. I felt like my child only focused on basic academics math and reading and writing. Social Science, Science, History and Art are not strong academic programs at this school. You have to pay extra for a lot of school activities and after school programs if you want your child to have a more well rounded education. Which is not worth it when the cost of living in this area is already extremely high.

Great school. Principal has been here for 9 years, for 7 of these as assistant principal, and became our principal with tremendous community support. He knows every child by name and spends every lunch period in the lunch room supervising and getting to know the children. The school is 900 students, which means each grade level has a number of teachers who work together and collaborate to strengthen the educational program. The teachers are dedicated professionals who work long hours to provide an excellent education, and they care about all the children. The children have a good experience here. They learn a lot and have a lot of fun with their friends. Our school is diverse and proud of it.

Just Average. Over crowded like the other parent said. If you are lucky you can get a good teacher, else your child has to stay with a teacher who is not so fair in his/her treatment towards your child. The scores and API score depend are proof of the child's and parent's dedication. Teachers are not experienced in dealing with varied demographics.

Coyote Creek is a horrible school. The principal is weak and has no connection to any students, parents or teachers. The teachers all loathe him and the good ones are leaving. There is no discipline whatsoever at this school. Punch someone in the face in the lunchroom? No problem - you just have to sit in the office for 10 minutes. The school has FAR too many students and needs a strong, effective leader. The assistant principal used to be amazing, but he is worn down from doing ALL of the work and being treated badly by the lazy principal and is just phoning it in now. 10% of the teachers are really great, but at least 25% are awful and should not be teaching.

It's an amazing school. I have three kids at Coyote Creek. When we moved to the US two years ago, my kids weren't able to speak a word in English. The efforts made by the school to adapt the kids to a new culture were simply wonderful. What I see daily at Coyote Creek is a supportive staff, very dedicated and caring teachers, engaged parents, and happy kids ;-)

This school completely lacks leadership. The principal does not engage parents in any way, nor does he have any ability to connect with the kids. Because he has no connection to the families at this school, his presence as a 'voiceless and vision-less' figurehead has a negative effect on everyone. Thankfully, the Assistant Principal and the myriad of volunteer parents keeps this place running and there are small glimmers of hope from their contributions. But ground-up initiatives are just that, small wins vs. culturally sustainable practices that the school implements systematically. With the sheer volume of kids here the school becomes very transactional and 'just surviving' crowd control. With a principal with a strong vision, this could be a great school for kids to learn and be inspired vs. just surviving and getting by which is the current mentality.

Wonderful school. A new Principal, Mr. Biondi was brought in a few years ago and has contributed so much to the school. Mr. Alpert, the Assistant Principal is just amazing. He really cares about the students and works with the parent community to provide challenging extra curricular programs. The teaching staff is dedicated. So greatful to have had my kids attend such a high caliber public school!

This school is a really great school. The teachers are really nice. If your son or daughter is worried about being a new kid, reassure them! The staff are very welcoming at Coyote Creek. The school's a bit different, but even the differences don't separate it from its quality. The staff aren't the only day-to-day fellows that will be involved in your child's life. Your child's peers are also very welcoming and very happy. Don't be worried about sending your child to this school!
