Really great academics, amazing community with lots of events and good connections. Just a warm place overall, supportive and kind teachers, outgoing and friendly students, fair and accommodative administrators. Holidays are a blast, there's lots of food and well wishes, you don't need to be Jewish to feel like a part of everything and there is no way to really tell who is or isn't. The Maker's Lab is awesome, the music program is also fantastic, and for a small school they do pretty well for sports and more importantly they really teach your kid to love the game.

Pulled my very bright son out of Bacich Elementary to attend Brandeis in the second grade (he started 3d today) because the academics at Bacich have seriously declined over the past 5+ years. My son loves math and science and, fortunately, Brandeis does those subjects very well (in addition to English, the arts, and music.) The community is outstanding for Jewish and non-Jewish members with an active, engaged parent association and involved parents. The after school enrichment program is great- 2 coding classes, music, cooking, track. There are 2-3 teachers per grade (avg. class size is about 17 I think) so students receive great special attention. This year, Brandeis split off from Brandeis in San Francisco, giving Brandeis Marin (the new name) much more autonomy and control over its curriculum. I feel my son receives the academic challenges he needs and deserves in a caring, sensitive environment.

We have two children in the school (4th and 1st grade), and couldn't be more thrilled. Brandeis represent the ideal environment any parent would want for their children to instill a positive, stimulating, and supportive learning environment for their kids in those early years of school - a warm, nurturing environment that offers both "stretch and support for kids". The academics are stressed and kids are expected to learn at a high level, but with intimate class sizes and school size (only 1 class per grade), kids are given the individual attention and teaching they need to thrive. Music, Art, Tech (computer lab), and Physical Education are at the highest levels. The music teacher is a true musician (plays in a cover band off hours!) and offers daily voluntary 7am band sessions where my kids have become "rockstars". The Art and PE teachers were nabbed over recent years from a highly reputable public school and are top of their game. The tech is highly stressed with kids bypassing their parents' multi-media skills by 2nd grade! Lastly, while the school is a Jewish day school, it is reform and progressive in nature, and also attracts non-Jewish or interfaith families.

We have two kids at Brandeis in Marin and are consistently blown away by the strong academics, amazing music program, and tight-knit community. We transferred from a reputable public school and only regret not doing so sooner, since our kids have thrived so much under the tutelage of the dedicated teaching staff, who are able to give our kids individualized attention to support their learning. One need only attend a single 8th-grade graduation to see how beautifully the school shapes our students into lifelong learners who are committed to improving the world around them. Unique to Brandeis is the school's cutting-edge focus on "design thinking," which allows students to work on solving serious issues in the most innovative, creative ways. Our kids have used technology in the computer lab and in the classroom, and have made movies and other projects. I appreciate my kids being taught core values of integrity, kindness and service, how to put those values into action in school and beyond--in this way, the school feeds much more than my kids' brains.

We have had our daughter at Brandeis Marin since Kindergarten and she is now finishing up 6th grade. We knew early on that we wanted her to go to Brandeis through our friends who had their children here. We have not been disappointed and have been blown away by the consistent and challenging academics while balancing a fun and creative learning environment. The topics are learned in depth through an interactive and collaborative approach with the children. I feel the children are partners with their teachers, are respected and valued. The happiness on the campus is palpable and the teaching simply outstanding. The values of integrity, kindness and service are woven throughout the curriculum as well and these children are the nicest, caring children that I have ever had the pleasure to be around. The children are confident, critical thinkers who are unafraid to speak publicly. We are so incredibly grateful to the administration and the teachers for their dedicated passion toward academics, values and caring. Thank you Brandeis!! Luckily, we still get two more years with you!

After attending one of the graduation ceremonies, we transferred our children over from a top ranked public school in Marin and have never regretted the decision. Financially it has been a huge burden but every year I feel validated when I see what solid individuals this school graduates. I cannot think of a better foundation for my children as they head for high school and with the mounting pressures facing today s youth, I sleep well at night knowing my kids will be well prepared.
