I worked here during the previous elementary and what a difference Joe Young made in the culture, experience, and education! He is so organized and dedicated as a leader, I learned a lot about behavioral support, academic development and parent engagement while working with him! The children are also so respectful and kind due to the adults who work here and model these values.

This school is new but surprisingly is much better than what i expected. It's in very good hands of Mr. Joe Young (Principal) who is on top of everything from safety, to experiental learning, to meals, to extra curricular & so many more. Teachers are so good too! I think the great school ratings doesnt depict the right picture. Please refer to parents reviews to get more accurate insights.

I currently have two kids attending this school and am very happy with the staff, activities and facilities. Joe Young, the principal is outstanding! You see him involved with the morning drop-offs, participate in fundraising events and really care about the children. His communication through presentations during back to school and messages via the school app ensure that everyone is on the same page. This is the tone for the whole school. From the lunch staff to the librarian, to the nurse and all the teachers they all really eat and breathe the 4 Be's. Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Kind. It's a brand new facility so there's been no issue with traffic or bottlenecks to get to and from the campus. It's not clear as to how the school ratings get decided upon, my understanding is that it's from one test so in my opinion that's not a reliable number. I would consider this school to be closer to the 8 range from what I've witnessed through discussions I've had with other parents, my own children's progression, to the caliber of teachers and the facilities they have access to.

My first kid was in the founding kinder class. My second kid just finished her kinder year. They're both thriving. The academics aren't super rigorous, but the kids learn a lot of different subjects and being independent learners and end up well-rounded. They recruit the best teachers from the Santa Clara USD school district, so the teachers are stellar. However, the students come from all different backgrounds and with 20 students to manage, every student can't be a special snowflake. There is a wide spread of academic backgrounds among the kids. Still, the kids are excited, love school, and I've seen them learn a lot -- even without any official homework before 3rd grade (they're expected to read for 30 minutes every day).Extended day through the school district is good but expensive ($750/child/month). However, it has a limited number of spots. It is a lot better than Right At School, which is a third-party program on site that is nearly the same price but seems to hire less qualified teachers and is not as responsive to parent complaints. Both programs are more about childcare than academics - the kids go to the playground and play games and do art.If you want a well-rounded, happy kid rather than pushing academics super hard, you will be happy with this diverse school with loving teachers!

My child likes to go to school very much and has a lot of fun with his classmates. The school is large, new and beautiful, with interesting activities. The teachers and staffs are very kind and patient with the students. There is not much homework. My child has made rapid progress in reading and mathematics. After school activities are also good.

We’ve had a fantastic experience at Abram Agnew Elementary! It’s a brand new school, so everything from the facilities to the resources is top-notch. The principal is truly outstanding, bringing a lot of energy and positive changes that are making a huge difference. My two kids love going to school every day, which says a lot about the environment and the community here. The school is nestled in a great neighborhood, making it a wonderful place for our kids to learn and grow. The potential here is immense, and we’re excited to see how the school continues to evolve. Highly recommend to any parent considering it for their child!
