They don’t bother on solving bullying issues. People there are so rude starting with the front desk assistant (old lady) and ending with the principal. The district can do better by choosing better people to represent our schools.

Awful school. High turnover with school leadership. Behavior was out of control. The security staff was very professional and did the best they could, but the student body has behavior problems that are totally out of control. I don't know how any kid could thrive here.

Monte Vista middle school is a good learning environment and a place to belong with others.

Monte Vista Middle School is a terrible school. The only good thing about it was the music program, which is probably gone by now. My child went there for 1-1/2 years, 6th and half of 7th and I had to pull out my child and enroll my child in a state charter school because of bullying. I notified the principal at the time, who said she was aware of the problem, but did nothing about it. One of my student's teachers lost his CBEST test so we are missing scores for 6th grade. How pathetic. My son was admitted to GATE in elementary school and Monte Vista has nothing to offer advanced and gifted students. I received the impression from teachers, administration and other parents in the PTA that this school doesn't like students who are advanced academically. If California ranks the worst in schools in the country, then it is no wonder that Monte Vista is most likely one of the state's worst middle schools. The teachers and administration should be ashamed my child had to suffer humiliating and life-threatening bullying while attending this inept teaching facility they call a school. This school doesn't deserve a one star rating. If I could rate it one half of one star, I would.

As a new resident of San Jacinto I am very pleased with the interaction I've experienced with the helpful staff. Everyone has displayed nothing but kindness, caring & concern for my son's education. Academically, I can see the entire staff, principal & teachers are right on target towards reaching theirs, mine & my son's goal. Keep up the great work!
