Hmmm… my experience has not been that all 4th graders are asked their gender on the first day of school. Perhaps this came out of a social emotional activity, supporting the inclusive place so many people choose to live in. We are so lucky that Arroyo is a place where kids can feel safe and excepted each day.Ms. Shelton does many wonderful things to make the school a warm place to learn, not only for the students, for the staff as well. She adds the extras without making a fuss, so they may go unnoticed. We are truly lucky to have her as our leader. So many good people give her these sentiments. Arroyo is a wonderful community!

Great school! Our son attended fifth grade after moving to the area from out of state. The academics were excellent. The teachers and administration were so supportive. They do a great job of applying evidence-based approaches to learning and development.
