If I could rate zero I would. It saddens me that the same district I grew up in has changed for the worst. I really was rooting for this district, this school, and I hope enough parents speak up. I pray no other child is traumatized the way mine was.

Having a school resource officer to address bullying behavior has been terrific!

I have two children that go here. Although getting in and out of this school is an absolute headache. Any time there is an event I am happy to go. I like that this school has festivals and field trips an even a holiday program every year. Surprisingly many schools have stopped. I love the teachers and office staff is so friendly. I also like that my children are not pressured to do fundraisers. They are creative in raising money and make me feel like they care about bringing more to the children.

McKinnon School has a great atmosphere and that says a lot about a school. Parents and visitors have mention many times since we opened in August 2002 that they feel a great vibe when they walk in to our school office. It's all about teamwork, between every staff member that makes it a great school. The students, parents, staff and visitors feel welcome and this has an effect in everyone. The interest shown to every student makes them succeed academically in school. Many friends hear great things about McKinnon and decide to enroll their children at our school. There's no school like McKinnon Elementary.
