This is a great school, depending on you get for a teacher, the math program here is something that needs fixing and they need to fire a few choice teachers in my opinion for sheer laziness. The sports programs are all great too! Another complaint is that the school uses a 1 on 1 program with technology but the Wi-Fi is almost constantly crashing causing teachers to change their lessons on the spot. Also a major drug and alcohol is rooted through out the student body and sports program which no one seems to be fixing. May I recommend a drug an alcohol test every 2 weeks during sporting seasons.

This school likes to push kids through the system without care or concern if the student is actually learning. My son attended there his first year of high school and failed miserably. There was no help from teachers and they took the attitude "it's not my responsibility" when my son was not performing. They allow students to play games on their laptops instead of learning. The counselors do not reply to emails or phone calls and fail to identify problems with students. My son was having problems all year and his so called "counselor" did not even talk with him once all year. Also seems to be a big drug problem out in Salem.

I really like this school! Central has some very neat things to offer. The band program here is awesome. Central has some awesome sports teams such as cross country, volleyball, softball and many other sports. Central just recently built a new athletics stadium, a new tennis court, an 8 lane all weather track, and a new softball field. There are some down sides though, the school is overcrowded and some of the teachers weren't the most helpful and willing to help students. Otherwise, this is a great school!!
