This school I thought was going to be good for my kids but it wasn't such a good experience I will say the reading helper was excellent for my children but other parts of school experience wasn't so good my Grandson was bullied from other students I told the school this on many occasions but it was on deaf ears my Grandson was suspended on Many occasions because he stuck up for himself ended up in fist fights which I understand is not accepted I just feel he was blamed for things gs that wasn't entirely his fault he also has adhd and its very hard for him to control himself the school wasn't very good at following through whst was on iep

I'm giving this school a one star because I got bullied at this school every single day until I moved, I would cry every single day but the teachers andthe principal would act like were invisible. I was not the only one bullied at that School There was this girl I used to know THAT WAS in my class that was bulled to by the same person me and this girl would always tell the teachers and the principal they would always say, "stay away from them, ignore them" but how are me support to ignore them is we are in the same class the would be quick to remove some from the class are expelled someone that misbehaving i class but will be slow when it comes to bullies. in this school, there would be salsa dancer that would come and teach us how to dance and I was partnered up with the kid that would bully me he wouldn't even touch my hand so he was acting all weird so we have to switch partners I hate this school and will always hate this school this was the place my life was Ruined were I felt helpless I move and went to that school thinking it would be good school since I didn't want to move but I was wrong I should've just stayed and gone to my old school there I wasn't bullied or made fun of because of my looks this is coming from a student that went to that school for one year and moved away. I would use to get hit by a boy at this school but no one will say anything except my mom, teachers act like bullying Is ok.

Great school with multi-age classroom concept that works. Phenomenal teachers who care and support our daughter more than we could ask for.

Saltonstall is a innovative, multiple intelligence based k-8 school in a diverse and culturally rich community. The scool program is multi age classroom, extended day and extended year. The school has experienced growing pains with its recent expansion to 8th grade but the ship appears to be righting with committed leadership and parental involvement. The majority of hte teachers are very committed and shared leadership with the administration is fostered whenever possible.

The Saltonstall school in Salem, MA is nice but leaves a lot to be desired acedemically and socially. This school is going through some major transitions this year. With a new principal on board and the relocation of the students/staffl for the upcoming school year due to major renovations. Getting any type of feedback from my childs teachers regarding tests, homework and basic class issues is atroshish! The lack of teacher / parent communication is a very big concern. It's tough to establish relationships at this school because most of the parents that volunteer are a tight group that stay to themselves. It's nice to see the groups of friendships but sometimes you may feel like you are the outside looking in. I do not feel like my child is obtaining the best education at this school and we are considering leaving. I do hope this insight helps.
