The staff works very hard to support and care for all students under challenging circumstances. Many kids come to school facing big challenges and are exposed to negative adult behavior outside of school. Despite these difficulties, the school does its best to help them overcome trauma and negative behaviors while also teaching them. Additionally, the school offers free lunch and breakfast for every child, a free grocery store for families, and provides new shoes and clothes for the kids. Furthermore, they have resources that can help families get utilities paid, transportation, and faster access to mental health services. Despite all these efforts, some parents still feel that the school is not doing enough. Some parents can be unkind and create a tough work environment for staff, expecting them to raise and educate their children. However, the staff remains patient and professional, working hard to ensure every child gets the help and support they need to succeed. Twillman Elementary offers many programs to help students grow academically and personally. The principal is always looking for ways to improve and meet the student's needs. While I may not always agree with the decisions, I appreciate that they take the time to listen to me. I have seen them take my suggestions and put them into action. If parents spent as much time talking and listening to the staff and helping their kids as they did complaining and fussing, our school could be the best in the district.

If you care about your children’s safety and future do not send them here! Worse elementary school in hazelwood . My kids come home hungry everyday saying someone stole their lunch or the food was not eatable , my daughter has been bullied badly and none of the staff including the principal have done anything about it !! , their afterschool activities have no structure! Classrooms have no structure! Her teacher doesn’t know how to handle a classroom! The kids are always out of control, cursing and refusing to listen to adults which is terrible for a child’s learning experience and behavioral health
