The worst experience I have ever had! I am currently seeking a lawyer and a separate child advocate to try and help my daughter. She hates going to school there and has started experiencing Anxiety in the morning before she even gets there. Could be that the 8th grade is stationed inside of the high school and they have to ride a bus with them! All so Hazelwood School District could save money and close down their middle school they attended in the 6th grade. Each year throwing these children from school to school like it's not going to affect the kids. Shame on them no wonder the drop out rate is so high, the teachers are paid bellow average and are miserable. I hope I can figure out a way for my child to get the help she needs because right now she feels dumb and tells me she won't amount to anything in life.

I was a student of Hazelwood East Middle for 3 years in a row, my first two years were rough but the last year was wonderful. We had a lost in the school family in 2014 but The Staff was there with us supporting us and the family of the departed. I am glad in had the chance to go here and meet such great people and learn new things from excellent teachers.

I have two boys at this school, I must say that this school will work with those that want help. I feel like some of the teachers try to come up with new ways to teach. If I could change anything it would be to allow the children more free time at lunch. children should be allowed autonomy in middle school they should not be walking in a line to go to lunch or even having to be quiet at lunch time. My boy's say they don't like the school because of the kids, some of the kids are the cause or reason why the rules are so strict. I believe that they just need to learn a better way to deal with this problem and not punish the others.
