Ever since Mr. Pavgouzas left there have been multiple changes in administration—two principals later—and yet no improvements. Academics have declined significantly, with teachers yelling at students over minor issues and sending them to the office simply for not being active in class.Students have expressed discomfort with certain male teachers, yet administration continues to overlook these concerns. Over half the students are failing math, yet nothing is being done to address the issue. Instead, the focus remains on enforcing strict dress code policies—making sure shoes are polished, belts are worn, and socks have no logos—while ignoring the real problems affecting students’ education.Family engagement has drastically declined, largely due to the actions of the administration. They have created an environment that discourages parent involvement. And if you dare to leave a negative review or say something to the administrators or the diocese be prepared—they will go to great lengths to retaliate, even expelling students. This school needs serious reform before it can truly support its students’ success.

Turnover with administration is concerning. They over fill classroom with students and don’t provide teachers with assistance, bullying is a big issue here, priest/church is not for the community at all. Your kid is just another number here! Anywhere else is better but here!

Third principal in three years. Some staff changes for the bad not for the better.

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School is the best private school in the county. Outstanding curriculum, Excellent teachers, and a great athletic program which is a part of CYS (Catholic Youth Sports). I truly do not have one negative remark to make. Our experiences have been nothing but positive, and my children are thriving academically, and have made lifelong friends. It is a great community to be a part of.

This school is amazing. A loving, supportive, community teaching children education, character, foundations of life to succeed, and integrity. Wonderful teachers, administrative staff, and principal.

My experience at this school so far has not been great. Because mainly kids are now getting expelled constantly and I’m being offered things like drugs, and alcohol.

My daughter has been attending STA since pre-school. There has been constant efforts to make the next year better than the next; and it has been a successful endeavor. It is evident that the principal, teachers, and staff all have the students best-interest in their academic, spiritual, and social interests in mind.

My son started this school on August 2016, and the change in his personality (positive) is remarkable. I thank the school and teachers for that!

My Two children went from K to graduation. Knowing what I k is now I'd never have sent them here. I had an interesting conversation with a fellow alumni parent who said "they just treat the scholarship children worse" I reassured her that I paid full tuition and they just have their favorites and couldn't care less about educating kids that are different and unique. They want good little Catholic soldiers and will exclude kids from teams and cheerleading that don't fit in with their aspired imagine. So if your kid is a shy book worm or an anime artist or a computer geek who lacks social skills or has ADHD or anxiety do not send them to STA. The other children are great the other parents supportive and kind but those are what makes the school worthy of consideration . The teachers and administration are terrible. The ones that are good leave and the ones that have been there for years, rest assured, it's because no one else will have them.

STA is an amazing school. My child has received the best education possible there. She excels academically and has many opportunities to grow in her Catholic Faith. I am involved with the school and love the teachers, staff, and administration. They do everything in their power to provide the best for my child and all of the children who attend STA. The students of STA leave the school very well prepared and are always at the top of their class due to the great foundation that they received at STA.

I have had children in the school the past ten years and while I'd love to give it five stars, I think the school still has much need of improvement. If we are comparing STA to PUBLIC school than five stars all the way. But as parents, we pay good money for better than public and often times I am not sure we get what we pay for. Middle school seems to have a problem retaining teachers. Those that are good, leave, and it seems like those that stay only stay because they are not exceptional and can't work elsewhere. (There is one exception to this but I'd rather not name names here). I love the foundation and community of catholic school and have no regrets but I do think improvement is slow in coming.

My oldest son graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas this year (2012) and I have three younger children who also attend. We have been extremely pleased with this school. We feel that he is very well prepared for high school (he will be attending Bishop Moore in the upcoming school year). There was a strong focus on the Catholic faith which was incorporated into all aspects of the school, in activities, the look of the campus, etc. There was also a strong emphasis placed on academics with an expectation for the children to excel and plenty of opportunities for assistance if they were having difficulty. The staff are wonderful, many of them having been there for many years. They value each student and treat each student with respect. My son is shy and an introvert, but he beamed with pride during their compliments and acknowledgement of his efforts. I would recommend this school to anyone and indeed have recommended it. It has been a blessing for my children and it's a joy for us to continue to send our children there.

I am so glad that I removed my children from this school. Neither had any issues until I placed them into this school. This school doesn't care as much about the kids as they do about how much money they can bring in. It's ironic that as soon as I removed my kids from this school and placed them into another school my kids fit in and were doing great right away. Which tells me that it wasn't my kids that had the problem when they were in St Thomas IT WAS THE SCHOOL. They in fact create the problems in the kids with the way that they handle children. Children that misbehave there are removed from all of the social settings only to spend the entire day alone without any social interaction. Talk to your children ask them questions then ask the staff. Find out the truth about what really goes on. I would tell everyone keep your kids outbofvthis school.

My child attended STA from preK through 8th grade and I have nothing but positive things to say. Because the school is small she got a lot of personal attention and everyone looked out for her. They all knew who she was and who she belonged to and I always felt like they had her best interests at heart.

I am an alumnus of St. Thomas Aquinas and I feel that it is an excellent school that prepared me well for high school. Following St. Thomas, I completed the IB program at Gateway High and found that the education I received at St. Thomas put me on the right track for excellence in this program. I think it is a great school for gifted children and for the more challenging student as they provide guidance and are always there to help when needed.
