I was worried going into 6th grade about the more advanced classes, but they are actually amazing! There are many opportunities for High school credit, including Spanish 1, Biology, Algebra 1, and Geometry. Many teachers are very kind and supportive, and the majority of them (electives and core classes) seem to genuinely love their job and care about the kids. The guidance counselors are helpful and cooperative; my interactions with mine, Mr. Canoura, have always been pleasant and productive. Administration sends out weekly newsletters that (unlike others) are actually quite informative. There are lots of fun electives, including agriscience, (which was one of the most interesting and hands-on classes I’ve taken) which is unique to only this middle school in the county. I’ve found comfort in many staff members here, but I would like to specifically shout out Ms. Garner, the media specialist, for always checking up on the students, and forming connections with everyone. Overall, this is a wonderful school.

Excellent school! Dedicated teachers. Guidance Counselors are engaged and many opportunities for enrichment courses.

Going from Hartley to Gamble is a huge change for the kids and the teachers don't really seem to care. Their focus throughout the class is handling discipline issues and writing referrals. Kids are coming home talking about drugs, fights and poor behavior in the classroom. Not what I expected at all! I'm looking at alternatives. You might want to consider the same or look at the schools in the northern part of the county. I have heard they were better.

The new administration is terrible they are very disorganized. I had a confrence scheduled and they forgot about ti and some teachers did not even show up. My son was required to do two science fair projects because his partner did not do his. he has had a sub for math for the last two months and he is not learning a thing in that class and when he went to counselar about this she was rude and told him oh well just have to deal with it for another month! His social studies teacher uses daily movies to teach the class only lectures or teaches on days he is being evaluated. every time I have tried to communicate with them I get a voicemail with no return phone call or unanswered emails. the school recourse officer may just be the rudest crudest person I have ever encountered! She should not be aloud to work around any children I am sure they do have some good teachers at this school however we have only had the pleasure of having one great teacher Mrs Garett. It seems when you go there that they all are miserable and do not want to be there.
