Solid school. Have had two children graduate from it. Both got into the colleges they wanted and got Bright Futures. Good structure. Decent teachers. Not a “sports” school but enough athletics and activities to get a well rounded experience. As with all schools some kids have substance abuse issues, but several we know were separated for it and there isn’t a “drug problem”.If you want big, then stick to the public schools. But SJA is like a good public school without all of the public school issues. Well worth the money.

My child’s experience was well below par. The low enrollment results in poor sports teams, not many clubs or activities and definitely the sense of community is lost. The school has drug, alcohol and bullying issues right on campus. The administration ignores complaints and does nothing to help students. The school is old and run down, bathrooms by the gym are disgusting, sport fields are non existent. Save your dollars and send your child to the St John’s county public school system.

St. Joseph Academy has been a wonderful school for my daughter. While the St Johns County schools are well ranked, they are horribly overcrowded and have a difficult time supporting students that might need more personalized support. SJA has provided my daughter with that support and her experience in 9th Grade has been MUCH BETTER than her 8th Grade experience in the St Johns Public Schools. I would highly recommend SJA.
