Honestly a horrible place to force your child to go to school. The children are awful when it comes to bullying and staff do nothing to help. Parents if the bullies also refuse to believe their child would ever do anything wrong. Please save your child three years of pain and send them anywhere else. Unless this school does total reform I would never force my child to go here. This school needs to take long look in the mirror and decide weather it wants to continue to harm students, or actually help them learn. Right now it is only causing mental scars and that needs to change before I would even consider sending a child here.

Everything about this school is top notch. The faculty are all incredible. They offer excellent prep for high school.

I couldn't disagree with the original poster MORE (but some time has certainly passed since that post, and things may have changed). I am the parent of a child with social/emotional/educational challenges and I couldn't be more THRILLED with the care and attention she has received at Central Tree. She is thriving in the care and attention she receives from all realms of staff, and was (for the first time) an honor roll student at the end of her 6th grade term. The school has been incredibly helpful with communicating both areas of weakness and strength, and we are off to a great start for her 7th grade year. She is always happy to go to school, and I am happy to know that she is in such great hands. More field trips and experiences would certainly be nice, but I can only suppose the reasons are budgetary, and a sign of the times. As for parent/home communication.. parents are as informed as they choose to be. From my experience, getting updates or questions answered is as easy as sending a note or e-mail, and powerschool is about as close as you can get to peeking into the gradebook all the way through the term. No complaints here.. Keep up the good work Central Tree!
