We’ve had nothing but great experiences at Dawson. My son is in 4th grade and was struggling his first few days of first grade (unbeknownst to me). I was called in for a team meeting on day 3. At first I was horrified thinking they were going to tell me my kid was being a terror or something, but they actually explained some behaviors that he was exhibiting that helped me to ultimately have him diagnosed with ADHD. He is now in 4th grade and has had wonderful teachers who have helped shape a strong 504 plan that allows him to succeed. He’s made some great friends and I couldn’t be happier that his younger brother will be joining him at Dawson as a Kindergartner next year.

We love Dawson! My oldest is out now, and was very well prepared for middle school... my little two are in 4th & 2nd and are super happy!

Dawson school has one of the most intolerant school staff towards Children who are slow starters, Instead of working those kids they pulled them back by making them feel bad with everyday complaining. We ultimately moved ours to Davis hill school and here he is now doing great with exceptional academic results, I am so glad that we made that decision. When you are at this school, you should expect complains everyday if you are not related or know someone personally in staff, they will let friends ,family and people with powerful post in the town kids get away by doing anything. Please be at your kids side during those meaningless parent teacher meeting otherwise they will drive you insane with complaints every day..

Dawson school has one of the most difficult and unpleasant staff. The administration in this school is not responsive to children's needs. I am so glad that this is my daughter's last year here. When you are at this school, you really have to be your child's biggest advocate , otherwise they will drive you insane with complaints everyday.
