  RFH is unquestionably one of the best schools with a spectacular array of services, athletics, and most importantly academic opportunities. The school is supportive in all facets, especially the college preparation and admission process.

  RFH truly has something for every student to learn and find an activity they can be passionate about. #1 Academics - WOW! the class and elective options are extensive and include a LOT of AP / Honors classes if your child wants to take that path. The quality of classes are really great and have been so impressed by the teachers. #2 Activities - so many clubs and ways to get involved. #3 Athletics - Yes the teams are great (with many state titles) BUT - there really is an athletic opportunity for every student if they want to be part of a team (Freshman teams, large JV squads, club sports, or ability to be a team manager). #4 Arts - Marching Band, music program and school plays.

  A great HS that prepares young adults for a post HS learning experience. Teachers that have long tenure and work hard to motivate students to want to learn independently.Tons of extra curricular activities for students to get involved in and a strong sense of parent involvement in supporting these programs and the school in general

  This school does not have a moral center equal to which I ask of my children. It may however be reflective of the community in large part, although not entirely. The most important thing to the school is winning. This is especially apparent on the athletic field where winning is above everything including morality and fairness and even loyalty to the community. There have been coaches later reprimanded and removed from the school who are left in place until the championship game took place despite the administration being aware of the indiscretions prior to the championship game. Once the championship was secured the coach was removed from the school. It is now acceptable policy in this public school to recruit athletes from out of the district so that they replace the students there in terms lineup, position etc. I know if two teams this year that recruited out of district players who were in their freshman year and appointed to Varsity for their team and one was named Captain over students that were long-term team members and well deserving of those positions. In terms of academics again the focuses is on winning. If you have a child that is pursuing options other than college, such as service to their country in the military position, it is a very difficult conversation to have with the school. Although statistically student that take some time off after high school perform very well in college and in later life the school will not aacknowledg that as it reflects poorly on their statistics and the pressure on students to conform to the schools expectations is extreme. It is with great dismay that I say that the school does not have the students best interest at heart, what they focus most entirely on their ratings reviews academic and athletic achievements. If you're looking for a school that considers your child as an individual you need to look elsewhere.

  I could not have asked to have gone to a better high school than RFH. Now entering my third year of college, I have been given many opportunities to reflect on what an excellent education I was given at the high school level. I can definitely say that I am ahead of the curve at my school through opportunities such as the senior project. I feel as though the school prepared me for just about everything that I needed to know when entering college. As an education major in college some of my greatest inspirations and supporters were my high school teachers and staff.
