Not a good school at all. I am now in 6th grade. I feel as this school put more feelings into anything else. The whole cares stuff was a joke. The principal was not good. If you emailed and asked a question about what’s going on in the school and she did not like the email she would ignore it. The vice principal is good. The teachers are nice some can be ok. This school did not help with higher learning kids. I was in the higher class during the whole COVID thing and there was no harder math for any of the kids. When there was harder math, my teacher made me do both so it got very stressful. Overall this school is not a good school at all I would not recommend it to anyone.

The teachers at this school are like no other, they are some of the most caring and genuinely compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. This school deserves a higher rating, I would give it at least an 8/10. Sometime "test scores" and "national averages" only go so far; I believe "like teaches like" and if my kids learn how to be kind to everyone and love you life FIRST, everything else [test scores, academic standing] WILL fall into place. Highly recommend Parkview Elementary School.

My children had differing needs as students. These needs were all addressed at Parkview. The staff appeared to really love their jobs and the kids. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a new parent consider buying a home in the school's attendance area.

My daughter attended Parkview and the teachers although caring are extremely frustrating. My daughter struggled with reading and math since K - 5th grade. She was never offered any help or assessments for her struggles. I questioned her teachers regarding this and she was shunned by them by saying "she is too smart to have a learning disability" implying my daughter is lazy and they were failing her and wanting her to attend summer school. She was later diagnosed with dyslexia. Her self-esteem was DRAMATICALLY affected by her experience there. I am glad to see that her main 5th grade teacher who belittled her is no longer employed there.

Best kept secret in District 196! New Principal (as of 2013-2014) Nicole Frovik is amazing. Lots of new staff and lots of new homes being build that are zoned to attend Parkview make this THE up an coming elementary school. Wonderful learning environment with warm, caring teachers and staff. Supportive and involved PTO and parents.
