I feel that the teachers/staff are not equipped with the right training to assist children’s needs. Teachers do not take the time to discuss effective consequences when children misbehave. Children are not challenged. Many students mentally unstable and not much gets done to address mental illness. There is a no homework approach. I worry my kid will not be prepared academically for middle school/high school. Pulled my daughter out and now she is challenged while in a nurturing in caring environment.

My child does have an IEP and I've always found them to be very resourceful, engaged and focused on bettering the learning experiences and line of communication between home and school.

Your kid will either fit the mold or they wont. They absolutely do not care about the individual.

This school is great unless you have child with IEP/ special needs.

I didn't think it was too much of a big deal when the principal emailed everyone in June to let parents know that teachers didn't finish teaching the math books, but now is see the huge impact it has on my son in the middle school. There is a large gab between SHS and RMS in their curriculum. My student is struggling in math when he was an A student all through elementary school. I am having to spend hours teaching him every night what should have been learned last year. So disappointed!

They should spend more time challenging students academically instead of putting so much effort on positive/negative behavior policies. So disappointed to go to a curriculum night and hear more about behavior practices instead of curriculum.

The school presents will a high level of complacent teachers who are thrilled when they get students past the 70% mark. Pushing students to exceed beyond the average is not an attitude teachers care much about at this school. Differentiated instruction is not a concept the school understands or strives to achieve. Older more experienced teachers walk around with an attitude of entitlement with high salaries and a refusal to go above and beyond what they have been comfortable doing for many years.

Teachers were in tune with the needs of my child, stayed connected to parents and offered resources to continue learning in and out of school. Principal is fantastic - greeting students every morning and truly trying to get to know the students. Facilities are very good and extra curricular and family programs made the school feel like a community.

I love the school; my son has made a wonderful learning progress during his kindergarten days. Overall his teachers and classmates had a very positive impact on him (and other's impact was something I have feared the most). All events organized by school and class were amazing. There is a visible order and organization of things. The bus pick up and drop off was also nicely coordinated.
