My oldest son just made the transition from Romulus Middle School to Romulus High School. He had an amazing three years here. Did very well academically and scoring near the top in standardized tests. My youngest son is starting his second year and has many friends and loves competing in athletics as well as the classroom. Go Bulldogs!

This school is absolutely terrible. The principal doesn't know what's going on in his own school half the time and is always unavailable when you try to contact him. You're not a CEO of a major corporation so why is it every time I try to reach him he's in a "meeting", I understand you may have staff meetings or board meetings on certain days but every single time I call you're in a meeting...no way There are far too many students in each classroom, so the teachers are overwhelmed and really don't care if the children pass or fail because it's too many kids to keep track of and engage with. We moved from a city with all Blue Ribbon schools and there is a major difference in the school system...this is an outrage for the amount of money we pay in taxes here in Romulus and these schools are being ran like this.

All great things start with great leaders. RMS has poor leadership, lacks true passion to serve.

This school should have been closed instead of inkster schools. This school has a 3. That is not good. Teachers have left during the school year. They have lost several very good staff members because of the climate of the school and the fact that the students are out of control. If this school has a chance to make it, administration needs to be changed. Change is good and this school needs a makeover bad. The new commercial is a complete lie children are not safe at this school and the environment totally sucks. The rest of the good staff needs to find some place better. The know who there are it's not to many left. Mrs.bonum in the office is great and they don't deserve her. She can go somewhere where they would appreciate her.

RMS has an amazing teachers, secretaries and kitchen staff. Mr.Parker is a role model to all the students. "Bulldogs" are no different then any other school in the Metro area but the staff, parents and students make it a family style school.

Initially I perceived the school to be slightly above average, most of the teachers were welcoming, helpful and available for concerns. However, I later found out that there were staff members teaching whole semesters or more that were not certified teachers. When the concern was brought to administration's attention I was given the excuse that they were working on their certification and in another case the permanent teacher would be returning soon. Later, I found that the uncertified staff member was changed to a created instructional position that did not require teacher certification (Instructional Interventionist). I also warrant any parent that has students in the athletics programs to be very visible. Students are often left unattended and doors are often left unlock/propped open. When that concern was brought to the attention of the administrator his response was that he's elementary and new to the middle level and still learning. The assistant principal is more knowledgeable and seems to be more concerned about the students and their safety. I feel that it is imperative that central office make unannounced observations to assess quality and act on needs for improvement.

I Think Rms Is A Great School, Except The Landyards! I Kinda UnderStand The Tardy And Focus Cards For It To Be A Requirement To Wear Around Your Neck. Thats Not A Crowd Pleaser , But Overall The School And The Teachers Are Great. 5 Out Of 5
