This school has progressed since I started working here. There are many new teachers and teaching plans, technology is very prevalent in the school and the old mentality of "if your not learning, its your own fault" does not exist. Great progress has been made in the schools to improve upon the education of the students.

This is another school that has crawled ahead with a sign of progress, but still has a long, long, long ways to go before this or any other school in Rockland can be considered even average. Like the other schools in Rockland, this one ranks near the bottom in the state when it comes to MCAS and other means used to measure education quality. It's not the fault of the school administration or teachers as much as the residents of Rockland who for years failed to properly fund education. An override to rebuild the middle school was a great sign that the times are changing the old guard is finally, finally, finally being shoved aside. There are many new people moving to town and their view of education is a lot more enlightened than the old beer and let's waste a lot of our money on lottery games crowd. The newer population seems to understand that education is one of the most important factors to bringing people to town - and for home value. Hopefully the day will come when the old guard is finally gone and a new set of leaders to help raise Rockland up to the level the children deserve.
