I think this is a great school for children who do not struggle with behavioral or learning disabilities. The principle lacks experience and tolerance for children struggling with mental health. She struggles respecting the opinions of others when dealing with situations where is child is a clearly struggling with mental health disorder and is quick to send a child home if she doesn’t have the staff to deal with the behavior.

Do not enroll your child in this school.

I'm sure this is a nice school for most, but from my experience, the new principal can be sarcastic and very controlling. She seem to have good attentions and maybe she is on the edge because this is her first year at Fishburn Elementary as a principal but she lacks the experience in special education. I hope she learns to be mindful and respectful to others when their opinion is different then hers.

I pulled my child out of this school on Thursday. When kids can go into the office, and lie on your child for no reason, and the principal tries to intimidate your child into admitting to something that she did not do, it's time for me to pull her out. This is very serious. I have every right in this country to protect my child, it's the law, and pulling her out was the best decision. I tried so many times to reason with this principal, In person and by phone, but I just can't. There are kids who will tell dangerous lies that can land my kid into deep trouble, and I won't allow it. I won't tolerate it. My child is super smart, passes all of her SOLs every year. I won't allow another student to taint her name, and continue to make up lies on her, it's not worth it. I put her back into her home school. My only regret is seeing her missing her friends, but she'll be ok, she can make new ones. I'm so glad she's out of this school, and so is she. I'm a great parent. I tried to tolerate this school because she's been there since kindergarten, but I can't deal with it any longer. A huge burden has lifted.

A teacher at this school yelled at me for parking in the wrong unloading loop. She was loud, disrespectful & unprofessional. if she would have been quiet for a second I would have apoligized. I spoke with the principal about this teacher & told her that if she would speak to another adult this way, I feel sorry for the 3yr olds. i wouldnt want her caring for my dog!! the principal asked me to leave stating i offended her by suggesting her staff isnt great. i did apoligize for parking at the wrong area for my child's grade. it isnt what you say, but how you say it!!!

My granddaughter had an exceptional experience at this preschool program. The teacher was energetic, structured, and spent lots of time getting to know my child and her family. We received daily communication about school and were given lots of ideas on how to supplement the classroom instructiion. She also learned a lot about recycling and going"green" with the new theme school. We loved our experience at this school.

We love that our school has such a dedicated and devoted principal and teaching staff! We also love the environmental focus our school has and the hands-on experiences our children receive!
