My children love Cox Elementary! The teachers have high expectations, while also providing kids with the tools they need to be successful and meet those expectations. I can send my kids to school every day knowing they’ll be loved and taken care of.

About a 7 or 8 out of 10.

Our experience at Cox has been amazing. We moved here from another state (halfway across the country). The education our children are receiving here far exceeds our previous school’s instruction, and the leadership by the principal and teachers has far exceeded our hopes for quality education. Excellent school!

This is an excellent school. It is our 3rd elementary to be connected with and by far the best. The leadership is excellent and they truly care about the students. We have had some of the best teachers who go above and beyond for their students. All three of my children have been very successful thanks to the challenging curriculum and caring teachers. We love Cox!

Both of my kids have gone here for several years and have had a wonderful experience. We came from another school and Cox excels at everything

I see some people complaining about the lack of homework that their kids are getting, and then equating that to a poor education. Firstly, all three of my kids go to Cox and all of them get plenty of homework. Secondly, there are studies that show homework isn't a good tool or indicator of learning, so you can't just assume the lack of homework means a poor education. We transferred to this school from out of state and it's far superior to the other schools they've attended.

We transferred here from another district hoping that the change would have been beneficial. Our initial thoughts were incorrect. Although the outer appearance of the school is nice, the inner portion regarding their curriculum is lacking in so many aspects. My child came home very rarely with homework or reading assignments. Some of the teachers need some serious diversity training. Their discipline model regarding children is lacking a lot of structure in which student and children thrive with structure. I believe there are a lot of changes that need to be made in order for them to uphold this so called 9 out of 10 rating. I care about my child's education and learning the basic fundamentals not learning how to take a state test. Steer clear from this school if you hold high expectations of achievement for your child!

New nice looking school but has a lot to be desired. Find quite a few front office and district staff need their people and attitude skills to be worked on and realize this school has a lot to be worked on before frowning up their noses. Not happy about what skills have been taught at this point. Hardly, if any, homework given and no extra reading work such as (AR programs) as you would expect. Can't say what my child has learned this year. NWISD is not what I thought it would be nor this school. Very disappointed wish I would of done private or Carroll!
