Of my time at spoto high school, I can say that the faculty and staff are downright disrespectful to there students and we are treated to harshlyThe students on the other hand are disrespectful and are overly aggressive all the time and fights happen way to often and the school handles it poorly thank you for your time If you read this review,

This school has alot against it, but we have to try to see the improvement is there and hopefully with time the administration wins. I can say we were personally scared sending our kid to this school especially since my kid had no friends joining him at this school but we wanted to try and our son joined the swim team. Best decision ever! Our Swim coach is the best, he is a total gentleman and mentor to his kids. He had made my kid come out of his shell and make great friends within the swim team. I only hope he stays at Spoto because he is a tremendous asset, so a huge shout out to Coach Nobles you are a tremendous blessing to our kids and we sincerely thank you! The Collegiate program director is awesome, she truly cares about our kids and their education so thank you Mrs Watson. We will be having our other children joining Spoto next year and hope they have a great experience also in the collegiate program and in the tennis program and the other in choir/drama program. Spoto does have fights and so do other high schools in the area, i do think they need to crack down on these repeated offenders since these kids post everything on a fight page. If you child skips school don't blame the school ,kids know whats right or wrong. Keep striving for excellence Spoto and keep these amazing teachers there for our kids!!

This school is not as bad as the ratings make it out to be. The principal and staff are great. They have big shoes to fill to help kids do their best. It's really up to parent involvement and I feel people forget that. The faculty not only have to educate these kids but unfortunately have to deal with troublesome kids who need some major adjustments in their life. There are a lot of fights but thats common in all the schools. Overall I do see the staff as caring and kids have many options to excel. I tell people all the time to read these reviews to better understand why the ratings may be low. I would like to see more improvement on behalf of the school overall, but am glad my kids go here.

Really great school and friendly staff. I dont understand why on earth this school is a 2/10. That's got to be outdated or inaccurate because I was very pleased with this school. My husband coached a few different sports there and the kids are really wonderful kids.

    1. The phone goes unanswered for hours. Last week I called at least 10 times student affairs and I had to call to guidance 5x's to transfer me to student affair.2. The teachers or administration don't answer their emails.I am only trying to get in touch with them to try and get help for my who is struggling and need help in a class. I literately have to take off work and come in the office and hope I will get someone to talk to. It is the worst school in Hillsborough county. Spoto doesn't care at all about education. They only care about discipline. Every time I come up to the school there are at 5 kids in the office that are in some kind of trouble. They don't even have an updated list for their staff on their website. Don't send your child here if you want them to have a decent education.

The school is small yes comparing to transferring from Tampa Bay Tech. The teachers & adminstration actually care and are involved and hands on. Everyone knows everyone. Yes there is a bad crowd but its up to the child to distant themselves from negativity. Those who are freshmens have to learn to adjust to being in a more mature world & become less depenent on the parent to help get things done. As long as you focus on the grades and get involved with knowing other classmates that you dont know or join a club like TBK(To Be Kind), sport or etc. You will be okay . I have been to three different highschools. And Spoto is the only one who has made me fill comfortable to be at as a student academic and social wise.

I go here class of 2015! the school is fine. yes there are fights periodically just like other schools. a lot of bad reviws from the parents are because those parents are over protective and are babying there children. we have great organizations like TBK (to be kind) SGA, reading club, and tons of sports. we always welcome new kids because since its a small school everybody knows everybody. I'm not going to beat around the bush there is a "bad crowd" so to speak. but everyone sticks up for everyone. the school is find and we are not huge. teachers come and go because thanks to the school they get great offers for higher positions. we welcome all and don't be afraid to come to the school because some parents are afraid of their kid seeing the truth of the world.
