Horrible school. Went here my freshman year, teachers pick favorites. Horrible Ag department, worse year of FFA. Way too many students. Kids are rude, and the school likes to dismiss a lot of things. The staff does not care, and the principal only shows up for assemblies, and likes to act like a politician. Do not send your kid here.

This school is very good if you're looking for high test scoring and grading. However, there is a huge issue with the administration. They don't tend to listen to student or teacher input leading to a more miserable learning environment. There have also been a couple of cases of this school's admin doing things purely for the purpose of making money without thinking of student or teacher satisfaction. There have been numerous cases of the school charging students and families for missing devices even though evidence shows that those devices were turned in on time. There is a massive toxic environment surrounding this school and instead of teaching better behavior, they encourage it. The drug problem at this school is unacceptable, and with the minuscule punishments that are given to offenders, there's no chance it's stopping anytime soon. Kids know they can get away with things, because punishments are not taken seriously. At my time at this school, there were only a handful of times I felt safe walking down the hallways, or eating in the cafeteria, or even using the bathroom because I was constantly watching my back. The administration needs to wake up and notice that they are not helping the students and teachers learn and teach, they are harming the students' educations and are creating an environment in which the students believe that unhealthy relationships with adults and their peers are normal.

The school and the community are great. The college preparation they give their students is amazing and there is little to nothing I could complain about.

Republic High School is by far the worst school I have attended in all of my years of education. The administrators are absolutely clueless about the lives of students and have no idea how to make a school function properly school. They don't support local events or attend school functions unless they are obligated and have no sort of relationship with students in any way. There is also a major drug problem at this high school and offenses are never taken as seriously as they should be. My review of this high school is due to the fact that this high school pales in comparison to high schools I have attended in other states and towns. I have attended two other high schools and a total of seven different schools in all. If you are moving to this region or deciding on which school to enroll in, I advise you to look elsewhere for s quality education and choose a different school system. This is just not the best fit for any type of student with any type of background.

As a graduate from Republic I would have to say that it was a great school. The athletic programs were great. Nearly all of the teachers I had were very good and prepared me for a successful four years in college. There is no reason a student can't be successful unless they put forth no effort whatsoever. Honestly for a child to fail at Republic, they have to try to fail. The teachers have no means of forcing the kids to do anything without a parent filing a law suit and the kids who failed are the ones who just refused to do their work. The teachers do not get paid enough money to deal with all the troubled kids that interfere with class on a daily basis. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Republic and would hate for my children to attend elsewhere. My only complaint with Republic is with the newest superintendent. He seems to be focused a little more on his career than the students. He prides himself on school being open when it snows and students get in car accidents and are injured nearly every snow day because of it. Also, the cooperative learning program is a joke. In no way does it prepare students for a career. It just wastes the time and slows the progress of students.
