As a former student at this school, I would not recommend it. The middle school students are mean, curse, and put each other down. The students are disrespectful to the teachers and to each other. They don't listen to the teachers and are frequently playing games on their ipads rather than doing their assignments, and the teachers don't care. The teachers actually made me feel bad about myself. I felt like I didn't learn much at this school and my education was much better when I went to public school. The previous principal and the current principal both seemed out of touch with what was actually going on in the classroom and I did not feel supported by either of them. They are constantly asking parents for donations of items, time, and money, in addition to the tuition that they already pay. The fundraisers are constant. Overall, it is a bad environment and was a bad experience for me.

The kids in middle school here are out of control and mean to others. Most of the teachers are inexperienced and don't seem to care. Also, the grading scale is ridiculous. It is impossible to get an A+, and a B+ is 90-93%. This puts the students at a disadvantage when compared to other schools and when trying to get into high school. Also, there are no security cameras or security guards. To get into the school, you just push a ring doorbell and they let you in. The gate is a chain link fence that would be easy to climb and anyone from the street can look into the school. The church is a public place, open to the street as well.

Do not enroll your children at this school. The students are not welcoming to new families and my child experienced bullying there. The teachers often seemed apathetic and unorganized. They do not make it clear what the homework is or when it is due. The administration is not supportive of the students. The education is inferior to the public school system. This is a Catholic school and they preach those values, however they do not practice it in how teachers treat students, or how students treat each other. The middle school says they offer electives, however this consists of a total of 4 classes in the entire year, taught by parent volunteers, not actual teachers. Also, all kids are required to take Spanish. However my kids learned more Spanish on Duolingo in 1 week than they did after a whole year at Sacred Heart.

If you believe you are sending your child to receive a Catholic education at this Sacred Heart Academy in Redlands, think again. This school is very weak on teaching the Catholic faith to their students. There are students who graduate that do not even know the Our Father or Hail Mary. The catechism is pathetic. The principal Angie Williams left so now maybe there will be an improvement.

My experience as a parent during 9 years at this school was excellent, it was a safe environment for my child to learn and blossom not only as a student but as a strong catholic christian. I am forever grateful for helping me to give my child a strong moral foundation that will last a lifetime. As kids spend so much time at school I looked for a place that would complement our teaching at home, since as parents we are their first teachers and we are responsible for their formation.My husband and I will never regret our decision to send our child to SHA and it was the best investment we could do in her future.SHA was our second family, forever grateful!

The school follows their learning expectations of being a Strong Catholic Christian, Effective Life Long Learner, Self Disciplined Individuals and Compassionate Caretakers of Creation. As you sit and consider schools for your children, I recommend that you look and listen closely. If you only pay attention to the outside of the school, the website and social media pages, you will be missing what is really happening there. It is in the classrooms and on the playground where students are isolating others and forming cliques that go against everything the school says that it represents. It was disappointing to discover this.

We have been parents at this school for the past 9 years. The parent support is amazing and the staff is professional and loving towards the students. The Administration is lead by an experienced and highly skilled leader in Mrs. Williams. The School activities and opportunities for students are endless. Redlands is blessed to have this School (120 Years) in its City.

This is wonderful school. My daughter attended there from 5th to 8th grade and it was a wonderful experience. We wish we had started her there sooner!

Amazing, the staff has gone above and beyond our expectations. New time students and their parents received a welcome brief before the start of the school year. Overall phenomenal learning environment with catholic values.

I would highly recommand this school to any parent who feels their child needs a more positive learning environment. This school offers numerous curriculum activities through the year, and this school prodives a sense of belonging with our faith and values. We learn and grow together and share the love of Christ amongst us.

My son has been attending this school since he was in Kindergarten. I see how the school strives to educate him spiritually, academically, physically and socially. These are the qualities and skills that the school teaches my child. I recommend this school to anyone who is considering enrolling their child at Sacred Heart Academy.

Overall excellent. Comments from anonymous sources is part of this web site's experience, but a better experience is to visit the school and meet the people and parents to see if it's a fit.

It was a poor experience overall, and it was completely disappointing to have one image presented in the beginning and then have it turn out to be subpar in the end.

We've been at Sacred Heart for 6 years now. A huge factor to our family is the athletic programs. Our three children are very involved in specific sports; volleyball, football, soccer and track. The sports programs are afterschool and we don't have to leave to drive to practices. The students compete in the Catholic Schools League against other Catholic Schools at Aquinas High School. We've had wonderful coaches at each age group (Kinder-Jr High) and it is very affordable. If your children are athletes, this is a huge plus!

Sacred Heart Academy is an excellent school that prepares students to continue on into high school honor classes well prepared with a great moral foundation. The academics coupled with the nurturing and loving environment make it an amazing school. The only thing I would change is the 8th grade homeroom teacher, aside from that it is an excellent school.
