This school does not allow change and is stuck in the 1980 and does not allow you to say anything that they do not like

Raciest school, Bullying from Principal, Students and Staff

Apparently it is okay to jokingly tell a 12 year old biracial boy that if he talks again he will be hung. A teacher made that comment to a biracial young boy.

Came here for a matinee screening of We Bought A Zoo. Very rude staff member told me “This Is A School!” And that the movie was almost a decade old and couldn’t be found in theaters anyway. 2 stars for the resource officer telling me Cameron Crowe was passed his prime anyway.

This has been one of the worst experiences for my son and us as a family! This school is formed with bullying, discrimination, and labels put by the students and supported by the teachers and staff. They lack empathy and they solve everything with suspensions and punishment. If you do not want your children to live a nightmare after enrolling there, I advise you to look for other options.

Too rule driven. They operate on a punitive and punishment paradigm.

There is way too much homework at this school. A 6th grader should not be spending 3 hours a night on homework, ever!

RMS used to be a good school, but it's going down a very steep hill right now. We have a vape problem, kids are sexually active, and people threaten, beat, and argue with each other all of the time. People were threatening to harm me, and I was blamed. This school enforces liberal policies in and outside of the classroom. You are required to learn evolution. There are no advanced classes, and you only learn things that are on standardized tests. The superintendent cut music and replaced it with another math class. We don't learn languages. They are trying to either cut or shorten history because it is "offensive" and not on the standardized tests. Gym class is co-ed, and too hardcore. As a 7th grader at RMS, I am currently seeking a transfer because I am having too many issues.

This school is awful. Many teachers don't know anything about the subject, the principals don't get anything done, and worst overall, the gym teacher is a creep. Academics are horrible, the superintendent tried to drop history because it wasn't on the MCAS, you don't get a full language. Kids don't have music anymore because they replaced it with another math class. Some teachers can't control their classes and are only in it for the vacation time. There are some good teachers, but they are rare to find in this disaster of a school. STAY CLEAR OF RMS! AS A FORMER STUDENT, THEY DIDN'T READY ME FOR HIGH SCHOOL AS WELL AS THEY SHOULD! GIVE YOUR CHILD A GOOD CHANCE, NOT RMS!!!!

I am an eighth grader at RMS, and i love it! I cannot believe what other reviews say. It is a beautiful building, there are so many after-school programs, and despite other reviews, we DO learn overviews of French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Our teacher won best principal in Massachusetts, and I am in a program where eighth graders can learn freshman algebra. We also have a second math class (math plus) for all seventh and eighth graders to help improve our math skills. I can say nothing but good things. We have also recently received new weight room equipment, such as treadmills and stationary bikes, as well as our own school track. Most of the gym classes ARE separated by gender, and we do fun activities, like step aerobics, soccer, and golf. I can go on and on. I LOVE THIS SCHOOL!
