This school honestly needs an investigation because they are horrible. To many kids little staff even though they have many employees. Principle and assistant don’t listen to parents. My son has ADHD and more but we are undergoing a neuropsych to figure out what he truly has. He has behavioral issues. Always got bullied and the blame was always but back on him. My son didn’t deserve all that pain at a young age. He LOVED school until 1st grade when he realized none of the staff liked him. He would come home and say he didn’t want to go because none of them listen to him when he tries to tell a teacher that someone hurt him. (By teachers he means most of the assistants especially the ones hired just for recess.) my son has an IEP that i had to jump hoops to get 2 weeks before I pulled him out. I didn’t wait for the approval I instantly took him out the minute I got the 173647382 thousand phone call that he was a problem and that I needed to get him. Prior to my arrival my son ran out the side doors alone and almost got hit by a bus. They did not chance after him or attempt to block spaces but they sure knew how to put a show when mom got there. Avoid this school if your baby has any kind of disorders they want to be top ranking and babies like mine will not help them. Now here I am with all sorts of therapist not because my son had “issues” but because the trauma inflicted at him from this SCHOOL.

My son has been at this school for 3 years. My son has ADHD and an adjustment disorder. My son has been bullied by other kids and teachers for all 3 years. Kids it is verbally and physical. Teachers are clicky will harass continually children that are not perfect little angels. The school does not treat all kids equally. out of 100 employees there are only 4 male employees. I am a single dad and I get no support from the school. Always patronizing me for saying good for you stepping up to take care of your son we don't see that often. Anything that involves my son being bullied is always my sons fault and they pushed family therapy on me even though my son does not issues at home. This was also reinforced by the therapist that came out. Told me the school thought it was a home issue. Principle also made a comment that my son was cutting up leaves and sticks pretending he was having salad and she saiod "Normal"kids don't do that. 22% of kids there can do math and Englis as the state ave is 53%. Avaid this school

Our daughter is in her 2nd year at Mulcahey. Both her kindergarten and 1st grade teachers are beyond amazing and all of the staff that we have encountered have been wonderful. I have volunteered weekly in the classroom over the past 1.5 years and I have seen first hand what a strong support team the teachers and staff are for their students. I have no idea why this school is rated at a 3, I have nothing but positive things to say about it.
