- Submitted by parent on October 30, 2018Good school with excellent teachers who truly care about their students. The teachers go above and beyond to make themselves available to students who require additional help after school. There are many activities for the students and my kids are never bored! Administrators at St. Malachy are friendly enough, but they sometimes misinterpret concerns from parents as complaining or taking up too much of their time. The biggest 'down side' at St. Malachy School (and the only reason I can't give the school a five star rating) is the athletic department. Coaches and athletes come and go because the AD creates a hostile and non inclusive environment. Athletes are treated differently depending on who they're related to and 'special rules' are created to punish those who do not tolerate bullying from the AD. Sports are supposed to be fun - especially in middle school. Accommodations should me made for all students who want to participate in athletics. After all, this is an elementary school, not the Marines.
- Submitted by other on December 14, 2016I attended 1st through 8th grade in the 90's. I felt very prepared in high school and even on into college. I received the challenge and support I needed to succeed. I'm an architect at a successful practice and have a continued love for learning that I know began with the great experience and teachers I had at SMS.
